Minecraft continues to be a highly popular platform for children, combining creativity, problem-solving and social interaction.

While the game can offer positive opportunities for learning and play, features such as public servers, multiplayer modes and in-game communication can create safeguarding challenges.

Our latest guide supports educators and parents in understanding these risks and helping children play more safely.

This week’s ‘WOW’ is Deposition. 😀

Year 12 A Level Law students visited both the Crown Court and Birmingham Magistrates’ Court last week, giving them the opportunity to observe the justice system in action and make meaningful comparisons between the two courts. ⚖️ They observed key legal professionals at work, including barristers, solicitors and judges, as well as the essential role played by Ushers in ensuring proceedings run smoothly. Students watched live criminal trials, sentencing hearings and witnessed a jury carrying out its public duty. 🧑‍⚖️ They were also exposed to high‑profile cases and observed a public demonstration in which individuals were exercising their Article 11 ECHR right to assemble, offering a powerful insight into constitutional rights in practice. 🗣️
