🌿 Great news for Rayne’s Nature Reserve! 🌿
Rayne Parish Council is delighted to announce that we’ve been awarded £13,990 from the National Lottery Community Fund to help enhance and protect our much-loved Nature Reserve 🙌
This funding will allow us to:
🌱 Develop a long-term management plan to guide the future of the reserve
🐦 Install wildlife information boards so visitors can learn more about the species and habitats on site
🪑 Add benches to encourage people to spend time enjoying the space
💧 Dredge one of the ponds to improve water quality and support biodiversity
The Nature Reserve is an important part of our village—both for wildlife and for residents—and this project is about making sure it continues to thrive for years to come.
A huge thank you to the National Lottery Community Fund and to National Lottery players for making this possible 💚
👏 A special thank you to Cllr Helen Lugger, Cllr Jan Willis, and resident Andy Blackwell, whose hard work and commitment were instrumental in securing this funding.

Another big thank you to our councillors and all the residents who gave up a couple of hours to make a real difference – it really shows what a great community we have.
