Apparently, Lib Dem principles come with a postcode. 📍

Sir Ed Davey has ruled out a national partnership with the Greens over a policy he condemns as antisemitic. But existing local arrangements? Those get a request for Green councillors to reject the policy.

Quite the distinction. A red line in Westminster, a discussion point at County Hall.

Here in Worcestershire, the Lib Dems helped put a Green-led administration in charge and took seats in its Cabinet. So this is rather more than an awkward hypothetical.

Perhaps Worcestershire’s Lib Dems could explain: have their Green partners publicly rejected the motion equating Zionism with racism? Will they publish that commitment? And if their partners refuse, will they actually walk away?

Or does the famous Lib Dem moral compass work perfectly until it gets too close to a Cabinet chair?

Antisemitism deserves a consistent response. Worcestershire residents deserve to know what their governing parties will actually do.

📚🤣 LIB DEMS CAMPAIGN AGAINST THEIR OWN COUNCIL!

You really couldn't make this up! 😂

The Liberal Democrats are delivering leaflets across Bromsgrove screaming “SAVE OUR LIBRARIES”, blaming the Conservatives.

Just one tiny problem...

🟠 The Lib Dems are part of the administration running Worcestershire County Council!

🟠 Their own Bromsgrove councillor, Josh Robinson, is the Cabinet Member responsible for the library strategy!

🟠 And at July's Cabinet meeting, he confirmed there were NO PROPOSALS TO CLOSE LIBRARIES!

🤣 It's like the Lib Dems turning up outside County Hall shouting “DOWN WITH THIS ADMINISTRATION!”

Then suddenly realising they're late for their own Cabinet meeting!

Only the Lib Dems could be in government and opposition at the same time! 😂

Perhaps the Lib Dems should spend less time printing leaflets and more time reading their own Cabinet papers! 📚🤣

LABOUR CAN PAY FOR ITS OWN FIGHT AGAINST REFORM. KEEP YOUR HANDS OFF TAXPAYERS’ MONEY.

A fund announced by Angela Rayner was supposed to help communities recover after the disorder that followed the Southport murders.

Now GB News reports that money from that scheme supported training which warned of an “impending disaster of a Reform UK government”.

Think about that. Money meant to help communities rebuild, supporting material attacking a party those same taxpayers are perfectly entitled to vote for.

The report identifies £13,450 from Birmingham City Council and £9,000 from Blackpool Council for programmes run by the Ella Baker School of Organising. These payments deserve proper scrutiny.

Labour needs to answer some straightforward questions. What safeguards were put in place? Who checked where the funding went? And what will ministers do if it paid for party-political activity?

A statement saying councils aren’t allowed to do it is nowhere near enough. Publish the funding records. Investigate the spending. Recover every penny found to have been misused.

Here’s a thought for Labour: if you’re worried about people voting Reform, try giving them a reason to trust you. Start by treating their money with some respect.

Voters who question immigration policy or demand better public services don’t need their political opinions corrected at public expense. They need politicians who listen.

Labour is welcome to take us on. We’ll have that argument openly.

But fund your own politics. Taxpayers are not Labour’s campaign donors.
