Cybi a Seiriol - Pilgrimage route weekend festival
📆 Friday 3rd – Sunday 5th July
Join guided walks, talks and live music celebrating Anglesey’s new Cybi a Seiriol pilgrimage route.
Following the Wales Coast Path and ancient inland footpaths, the route connects churches across the island, from St Cybi’s in Holyhead to the Priory Church of St Seiriol at Penmon. Each church has its own saint and story
During the Cybi a Seiriol Festival weekend, we invite you to explore these historic places and the communities that surround them.

Get to know the Wales Coast Path trail officers 👋
Sioned Jones covers the 130-mile section of the past that traces the outline of Anglesey. Here’s part 1 of our Q&A with her.
🌟 What’s your favourite Wales Coast Path walk?
There’s so much variety on Ynys Môn in a relatively short distance. There’s always something worth seeing – from dramatic clifftops to long sandy beaches and quiet, secluded coves. One of my favourite sections is along the north coast of the island, where the cliffs are stunning and the views never get old. There’s loads of history along the way too, and it’s one of the best places on the island to spot dolphins and porpoises if you’re lucky.
♥ What do you love about your job?
No two days are ever quite the same. I spend a lot of my time out and about, getting hands on with the path, working with volunteers, and meeting people enjoying the coast. I get to enjoy this fantastic island in all seasons and all kinds of weather.

Cyfle i wybod mwy am swyddogion Llwybr Arfordir Cymru 👋
Mae Sioned Jones yn gofalu am ddarn 130 milltir o'r llwybr sy'n dilyn arfordir Ynys Môn. Dyma ran 1 o'n sesiwn Holi ac Ateb gyda hi.
🌟 Beth yw dy hoff daith gerdded ar Lwybr Arfordir Cymru?
Mae ‘na gymaint o amrywiaeth ar Ynys Môn a hynny o fewn pellter cymharol fyr. Mae ‘na rywbeth gwerth ei weld bob amser – o gopaon clogwyni dramatig i draethau tywodlyd hir a childraethau tawel, diarffordd. Un o fy hoff rannau yw ar hyd arfordir gogleddol yr ynys, lle mae'r clogwyni'n syfrdanol a lle mae’n amhosibl blino ar y golygfeydd. Mae ‘na ddigonedd o hanes ar hyd y ffordd hefyd, ac mae'n un o'r lleoedd gorau ar yr ynys i weld dolffiniaid a llamhidyddion - os ydych chi'n lwcus.
♥ Beth wyt ti'n ei garu am dy swydd?
Does na ddim un dau ddiwrnod byth yn hollol yr un fath. Rwy'n treulio llawer o fy amser allan yn crwydro, yn gwneud gwaith ymarferol ar y llwybr, yn gweithio gyda gwirfoddolwyr, ac yn cwrdd â phobl sy'n mwynhau'r arfordir. Rwy'n cael mwynhau'r ynys hyfryd hon ym mhob tymor ac ym mhob tywydd.

Struggling in the water? Remember to Float to Live 🛟
The advice from the Royal National Lifeboat Institution is simple and could save your life:
1. Tilt your head back, submerging your ears.
2. Relax and try to control your breathing.
3. Move your hands and legs to help you stay afloat.
4. Your legs may sink but that’s ok – everyone floats differently.
5. Find your float by practising at a supervised location.
It's a lifesaving skill and having the confidence to float in a life or death situation could make all the difference.

☀️ Cadwch yn ddiogel o amgylch y dŵr. Efallai fod y tywydd yn cynhesu, ond mae’r dŵr yn dal yn oer. 🥶
Dilynwch y cyngor hwn i nofio’n ddiogel:
1️⃣ Stopiwch a meddyliwch: A yw'n ddiogel nofio yn y man hwn?
❔A oes peryglon o dan y dŵr?
❔A oes cerrynt cudd neu ddŵr sy'n llifo'n gyflym?
❔Pa mor ddwfn yw’r dŵr ac a allwch chi fynd allan ohono’n hawdd?
❕Cofiwch, nid yw rhaeadrau’n llefydd diogel i nofio
2️⃣ Arhoswch gyda'ch gilydd: Ewch gyda rhywun arall bob amser
3️⃣ Arnofiwch: Os ydych chi'n mynd i drafferth yn y dŵr, nes eich bod chi'n teimlo'n fwy diogel ac wedi’ch cynhyrfu’n llai
4️⃣ Ffoniwch 999 neu 112 os gwelwch chi rywun arall mewn trafferth yn y dŵr

💦☀️ Stay safe around water. The weather may be warming up, but the water is still cold. 🥶
Follow these top tips for a safe swim:
1️⃣ Stop and think: Is it a safe place to swim?
❔Are there hazards beneath the water?
❔Are there hidden currents or fast-flowing water?
❔How deep is it and can you get out easily?
❕Remember, waterfalls are not safe places to swim
2️⃣ Stay together: Always go with someone else
3️⃣ Float: If you get into trouble in the water, until you feel calm
4️⃣ Call 999 or 112 if you see someone else in trouble in the water
