🕰️ Clocks go back, but don’t let security slip! 🏠

The clocks go back, an extra hour’s delight,
But don’t give burglars the cover of night.
Lock your doors, check your lights,
Secure your home through autumn nights.

Extra hour? Use it wise—
Double-check, don’t compromise! 🔑

Weather warnings for wind and rain ⚠️

Following wind and rain warnings issued by the Met Office, we might expect to see disruptions across Sussex in the next few days.

👉 Seriously slow your speed if you need to drive, or only travel if essential
👉 Road debris and fallen trees could disrupt your journey
👉 Avoid driving through floodwater
👉 Stay away from coastal areas
👉 Stay up to date with the weather by listening to local radio stations

Our phone lines tend to be extremely busy during weather warnings, please only call 999 if it is an emergency; remember our website is available for non-emergency reports 24/7.

To report fallen trees that do not present an immediate danger or risk to life, please call the numbers pictured for your area.

Knife crime has reduced, and we're not stopping there.

Targeted action to tackle knife crime is underway in four locations across Sussex, including two areas of Brighton, one in Eastbourne and one in Crawley. Officers are increasing patrols, carrying out proactive enforcement activity and working with young people through early intervention opportunities to build on recent reductions and help make our streets safer.

Hear from Chief Inspector Jim Loader, lead for serious violence and knife crime, on the action being taken here: https://orlo.uk/jd2pg

Are you, or do you know, a young person aged 13-18 in Sussex?

We want to understand how safe young people feel in their communities and public spaces.

Our anonymous survey is open until mid-December and will help identify what's working well and where improvements can be made.

Last year, nearly 2,000 young people shared their views. This year, we'd love to hear from even more.

🗣️ If you're aged 13-18, or know someone who is, please take part and share the survey. Your voice matters.
