Pontypool NPT conducted a community walk this week in company with Torfaen Council Community Safety and the Community Council,

The aim of this walk to be visibly present in the community and discuss ongoing anti social behaviour issues on Pontypool Town,

On Monday, and had a lovely visit with the children at Ysgol Feithrin Pontypwl giving the youths a chance to meet the local officers and see what it is like in a police car 🚔

They were then delighted to be invited back on Tuesday for the Halloween disco!👻

It was great to see the children again and join in with the Halloween fun 🎃

A huge thank you to everyone at the nursery for making us feel so welcome. We look forward to visiting again soon! 💙

❗We responded to reports of a road traffic collision on Woodside Road, Cwmbran, at around 8.30am on Sunday 18 October.

🚔 Officers from our Roads Policing and Specialist Operations (RPSO) unit attended and the collision involved two cars – a Citroen and a Nissan Juke.

🎃 Trick or Treat 🎃

Yesterday CSO546 and 533 attended Henllys Church in Wales in Cwmbran to discuss safety advice for those who will be participating in trick or treating. If your child is planning on joining in, here are some important key tips to consider:

- Only knock houses with a trusted adult present 👨‍👩‍👧‍👦
- Never go inside the house of a stranger 🏡
- Don't give information to strangers 🚨
- Remember it's okay to say no, if something doesn't feel right, walk away, no is a complete sentence 🫸
- Don't upload photo's of yourself whilst you are out, you are letting the world know your current location 📍
- stick together, and look out for your friends, have fun but don't lose track of your safety 🔓

🚔 Vehicle seizures in 🚔

Yesterday, and received a report of two vehicles displaying the same registration in the Trevethin area.

Officers located both vehicles and established that one was displaying cloned registration plates and was not insured. The vehicle was subsequently seized 🚔

But that wasn’t the end of it...

Whilst officers were dealing with the recovery, they spotted an electric bike being ridden with no registration plate displayed.

After speaking with the adult rider and carrying out further checks, it was established that the bike was not insured. The electric bike was also seized.

A productive result for the team and two vehicles taken off the road 👮‍♀️🚔
