📚 It’s time for our staff recommendation! ⭐

This week’s pick goes to... 📖 Mr Bazalgette's Agent by Leonard Merrick! 📚

Why we recommend it: 💭✨

"If you like Victorian literature this is a rare opportunity to read. 📚 It would probably be described as a cozy crime novel now, maybe that's why the author didn't like it originally and subsequently bought as many copies as he could and destroyed them - he didn't think it was gritty enough! 😲
I liked the fact that the author wrote about a female detective which was still quite revolutionary then! 🔎 Also, there was an unexpected twist towards the end that I didn't see coming. The British Library Crime Classics have published these new editions in limited numbers so all in all definitely worth a read. 📖✨"

💚 We're making a difference together. Can you help us show it? 💚
As part of Green Libraries Week, we're asking visitors to complete our short Impact Survey.
Your feedback helps us demonstrate the real difference libraries make to people's lives, communities and wellbeing.
If you've attended an event, borrowed a book, discovered something new, or simply enjoyed spending time at your local library, we'd love to hear from you.
Thank you for supporting Dorset Libraries and Green Libraries Week. 🌿
To complete the survey please ask at your local library 🙂
You still have time to join in with fantastic free activities going on in your library - link to What's On page in first comment.
