Today, our head office team came together to donate food to First Base in support of World Food Day 2026.

This year’s theme, “Innovate today. Nourish tomorrow.”, encourages us to consider how our actions today can help build a future where everyone has access to the food they need.

With food poverty affecting communities across the UK, local donations and dedicated volunteers provide vital support to people facing hardship.

Thank you to everyone who contributed, and to First Base for the important work you do.

Today, the Living Wage Foundation has announced the new Living Wage rates, marking the 25th anniversary of a campaign that has secured nearly ÂŁ5 billion in additional wages for low-paid workers.

The new hourly rates are:
• UK Real Living Wage: £14.10 — a 4.8% increase
• London Living Wage: £15.45 — a 4.4% increase

The Government’s National Living Wage is expected to rise by 3.7% to £13.18, based on the Low Pay Commission’s estimate, subject to confirmation at the forthcoming Budget.

At Vigilant Security, we are proud to be a Recognised Service Provider with the Living Wage Foundation. We believe that pay which reflects the cost of living is fundamental to our colleagues’ wellbeing, job satisfaction and financial security.

Our people are at the heart of the service we deliver. Supporting fair pay helps us attract and retain skilled security professionals, build motivated teams and provide the consistent, high-quality service our clients rely on.

Guided by our values of respect and integrity, we remain committed to championing the real Living Wage across our industry.

Today we recognise World Standards Day!

International standards provide organisations with recognised frameworks that help improve the way we work, manage risk and deliver consistent, high-quality services.

Standards touch almost every part of our daily lives. They ensure that products and services work the way that we expect them to, making life safer and more enjoyable. Standards are essential to achieving the 2030 Agenda and creating a fairer, more sustainable world.

We’re proud to hold certification across five internationally recognised ISO standards:

ISO 9001 – Quality Management
ISO 14001 – Environmental Management
ISO 45001 – Occupational Health & Safety
ISO 22301 – Business Continuity
ISO 27001 – Information Security

Together, these standards demonstrate our commitment to quality, sustainability, health and safety, resilience and information security.

For our clients, partners and people, they provide confidence that we have robust systems and processes in place to manage risk, continually improve and operate responsibly.

Standards build confidence. Consistency builds trust. Continuous improvement drives progress.
