Join your local crew for the annual Charity Car Wash in aid of The Firefighters Charity 🔥

Kelso Fire Station would like to congratulate FF McElrath who has successfully completed his first initial training course and puts him on the three year pathway to becoming a competent firefighter. Welcome to the crew

Sunday saw Kelso facilitate a multi agency exercise involving fire appliances from Kelso, Selkirk, Hawick, MacDonald Road, Sighthill and Bo’ness with their Command Support Unit. Police Scotland and Scottish Ambulance Service were also involved. Initially crews were deployed to a fire alarm activation that soon protracted to a larger incident. Upon arrival crews were faced with a well developed fire within a structure. As a result of this, the operational command structure was put in place to move forward. Crews were briefed and deployed on task’s required to bring the situation to an end. All agencies would like to thank Crop Services Kelso. We would also like to thank all who else were involved, especially our live role play actors Douglas, Rory and Megan from Crop Services and Alice from Curlsandcarnage for doing their realistic makeup. Thank you to The Kitchen Kelso for providing the excellent catering for the crew’s and to Gala blue watch was standing by at Kelso.

Back in June 2024 we welcomed Kojoe Otoo to Kelso Fire Station. Over the last year Kojoe has completed both his Initial Training course as well as his Breathing Apparatus and Fire Behaviour Course. Kojoe is on his 3 year path to becoming a competent firefighter and we wish him the best as part of the crew

This Sunday 21st multiple Emergency Service Personnel from Scottish Fire Rescue Service, Police Scotland and Scottish Ambulance Service will be conducting a combined training exercise at Crop Services, Spylaw Rd Kelso. Please don’t be alarmed by multiple appliances from all services evident around the area

Another incredible and supportive day at our charity car wash for Jaxon with over £3000 raised yet again! Once again a huge thank you to CSS Cleaning Equipment for supplying us with commercial machines and chemicals for washing which made our job easier and the quality of washes professional. Thankyou again to Sainsbury’s Kelso and Paul Burtons for supplying us with food and beverages! A huge Thankyou to Coldstream Fire Station for giving their time both days to help us along as well as colleagues from Galashiels, Eyemouth and Dalkeith! Lastly a thank you to all who dropped in food and donations over the weekend. We enjoyed welcoming you all into our station and want to reiterate how much your generosity means to Jaxons family and us as a crew. Thankyou!
