Honoured to Support the Airborne Alliance

Members of The Lowland and The Highland Band were honoured to perform at the Annual Muster of the Airborne Alliance on Sunday 10th May 2026.

The day began with the church service at the iconic Dunfermline Abbey, followed by lunch at The Glen Pavilion. A privilege to support such a memorable event in a historic setting.

🎶 Day 3: Marching to the Beat at Murrayfield 🎶

Day 3 of training camp struck all the right notes as the band, alongside members of The Highland Band The Royal Regiment of Scotland had the honour of performing at the Scotland vs England Women’s 6 Nations clash at British Gas Murrayfield.

The day was packed with plenty of rhythm and excitement — from soundchecking the anthems, entertaining the crowd, to proudly marching the team coaches on arrival. Every moment was music to our ears.

We were also delighted to welcome Scottish singer-songwriter Cammy barnes for a photo — a lovely bonus to an already unforgettable day.

Another memorable highlight in the band’s calendar, and one we’ll be talking about for many encores to come.

🎶 Training, Teamwork & Friendship 🎶

A fantastic few days so far at our 4-day training camp, bringing together the band and members of The Highland Band The Royal Regiment of Scotland for rehearsals, team building, and plenty of camaraderie. It’s a brilliant chance to strengthen friendships and bring professional music-making together as we prepare for exciting upcoming events.

Tonight, we swap instruments for answer sheets at our quiz night – wish us luck!

Tomorrow, we have the privilege of performing at the Women’s Six Nations clash between Scotland and England, so be sure to tune in and look out for the band, or give us a wave if you’re lucky enough to be there.

A special thank you to Jim Leggat OBE DL for a wonderful sightseeing tour of Dunfermline to start day two of camp, including Dunfermline Abbey, the Andrew Carnegie Birthplace Museum, beautiful park walks, and even some curious peacocks.

Great music, great people, and great memories!

Welcoming New Talent to the Band

We are delighted to welcome Musn Mark Angus, who joins us on Tuba after 23 years of distinguished service as a regular musician from The Royal Corps of Army Music , and Musn Edward Liles who currently studies at the University of Stirling who strengthens our cornet ranks.

Congratulations to you both on your first performance with us—an engagement to remember as Scotland retained the Calcutta Cup. We wish you every success in your continued service as Army Reservists.

🎶💍 A Perfect Duet – Congratulations Mr & Mrs Nolan! 💍🎶

Huge congratulations to the new Mr & Mrs Dan Nolan! 🥂

Our wonderful bassoon player, formerly Lauren Martin, has said the most important “I do” of all today — and we couldn’t be happier for her and Dan.

Here’s to a lifetime filled with music, love and harmony.

Congratulations from all the members of the band — we’re so happy for you both! 💕🎶

We’ll be playing the national anthems ahead of kick-off, and we can’t wait to be part of such an incredible occasion. There’s nothing quite like the atmosphere when these two sides meet, and we’re honoured to help set the stage for such a massive game.

Make sure you tune in before kick-off to catch us live — and if you’re lucky enough to be in the stands, give us a wave! 👋🎺
