Welcoming a Greener Future Project is an exciting project that aims to support migrant people in Edinburgh save energy and reduce carbon footprints.
Funded by the Scottish Government's Climate Challenge Fund, the Welcoming Association's 'Welcoming a Greener Future Project' is committed to raising awareness of climate change and supporting migrant communities in Edinburgh to save energy. It does so by:
1. Offering home visits to support people to use home energy more efficiently;
2. Organizing community events, class based workshops, semin

This is a free, family friendly & community-led event taking place for the first time in the Meadows. It aims at celebrating and inspiring climate action. Featuring live music, performances, stalls, kids’ and adults’ activities, and much more, this is not to be missed!

We had fantastic event on Saturday 6th October at Bridgend Farmhouse to celebrate Scottish Climate Week 2018 with the Syrian community. Thanks to everyone who came along. Thanks also to our volunteers, Board members, partners and funders. Thanks to our Sustainable Garden allotment for providing the tasty vegetables. Thanks to Qusay and Hadi for the music.

What a fantastic Swap Shop Event on Saturday 15th September at Out of the Blue. Great partnership work with ELREC's Communities for Conservation project.
