Another day, another festive celebration with our wonderful volunteers!
Today we got together with some of our volunteers from Alton, Bordon and the surrounding areas. It was so lovely to see familiar faces, welcome new members to the team and hear what everyone has been up to lately over a mince pie, or two. Thank you Alton Place Care Home - Hartford Care for letting us use your lounge and providing the tea and coffee.
We also received the cheque following the recent presentation from the of Peace and couldn't resist our own little photo - thank you again for your support!

An unforgettable evening showcasing the power of giving, unity, togetherness, and continuity as Beacon of Peace celebrated its 40th Annual Charity Partner Appreciation Dinner.
What an amazing night! Communities united, hope ignited, and over £600,000 raised to empower 65 charities and 5 local schools.

This uplifting evening was filled with gratitude, community spirit, and resilience. Guests enjoyed refreshments and a delicious dinner, while the stunning Mubarak Mosque, Islambad Tilford (Mubarak Mosque) opened its doors for guided tours, making the night even more memorable.
A heartfelt thanks to the Ahmadiyya Muslim Elders Association (Majlis Ansarullah UK), whose volunteers not only covered all admin and operating costs so that every penny raised went directly to the charities, also worked tirelessly to make the event a huge success

They say that Christmas is a time of giving thanks.
At the West Farnborough Man Shed, we have a number of groups and individuals we would like to thank for supporting us during this current year:
Farnborough Rugby Union Football Club - for their continues support and help - we couldn't wish for a better neighbour!
Rushmoor Borough Council and the Rushmoor Voluntary Services - for their continued support, advice and financial help through their community grant service.
Councillors Mara Makunura, Rod Cooper, Gareth Lyon, and Ade Adeola - for their continued support and advice, equipment and donations.
Farnborough International Exhibition & Conference Centre - for supplying us with a plethora of sustainable wood to help enable us to work on projects within our community.
Beacon of Peace - for their kind donation to our Man Shed.
Veolia UK - for sponsoring us to build 20 bird boxes that will be distributed around their contract sites and local schools.
Currys Farnborough - for the kind donation of a new kettle for our kitchen - probably our most used tool!
