RISE Makaton Star of the Week 💚🩷💛

A huge well done to Noah for his fantastic Makaton skills during Tuesday’s session!
Noah has been confidently signing his name in our welcome circle ⭐️

He has also been working really hard learning our Makaton book, “A Day at the Zoo.” Each week, Noah has been learning a new page in preparation for a future Sing and Sign event amazing effort!

We are so proud of the confidence and enthusiasm Noah has shown recently.

In just over 7 weeks, I’ll be taking on a HUGE fundraising challenge on Saturday 25th July to help raise money for a special summer day trip for everyone at RISE! 🩷💚💛

I’ll be taking part in an “Ultra Run” challenge where I’ll run 6.7km every hour, on the hour. Depending on how quickly I finish each run, I’ll only have around 15–20 minutes to rest before going again 😅

My goal is to keep going for 12 hours although the event runs for up to 24 hours but let’s not get carried away .

All funds raised will go towards a summer outing for our RISE families on Thursday 30th July. We’re planning a trip to Blair Drummond Safari Park and would LOVE to make this completely free for families to attend 🦁🐒

To say I’m scared is an understatement , but let’s do this for our team!!! 🩷💚💛

RISE Makaton Star of the Week 💛💚🩷

A huge well done to Cassie for her fantastic Makaton skills during this week’s outdoor RISE session!

This week we headed to the park to enjoy learning and signing in the sunshine, and Cassie did an amazing job practising our sign of the week, “Park” 🌳🛝

Cassie also worked really hard on practising our café bar signs and showed great enthusiasm and confidence throughout the session.

We loved seeing her joining in, having fun, and developing her signing skills in a different environment.

Cassie was so happy when we announced her as our Makaton Star of the Week 🌟

We are so proud of the progress and confidence Cassie continues to show.

Yesterday evening , RISE had an information stall at the Hazelwood School Summer Fayre 💚🩷💛

We set up a stall to share all about RISE, chat with families, and invite some new friends to join us. It was such a lovely opportunity to chat all information about what we do at RISE the fun we have together.

We also had a very special helper Ross! ⭐
Ross did an amazing job helping to run the stall and talk to everyone about RISE. Ross was very confident and professional .He shared his own experiences and told people just how much fun he has at Rise 💚🩷💛

Thank you so much, Ross 👏👏we couldn’t have done it without you!

We had a great evening and feel so lucky to have been part of the fayre. We hope to have more opportunities to do this again . 🩷💚💛
