A 'Home Help' service to enable continued independence in the home

02/06/2026

I'm sharing this new business for a friend who lives down my road and who I have known for over 10 years.

The owner of the business, Dave, is reliable, kind, hardworking and very, very trustworthy. I don't recommend anyone lightly, but I would definitely recommend Dave.

He has a passion for gardening and has taken the big step of turning a hobby into a business. One that I know will be a success.

I want to show him my support as he starts this new venture, so please like or share his page, if you know someone that might be able to utilise his skills.

For those who have been following me for a while you'll know I love walking and I love raising money for the breast cancer awareness charity CoppaFeel!

I first trekked with them in 2024, completing 100km over 5 days. It was magical. It was tough. It was life changing. Last year also saw me walking a half marathon with them.

The charity and their ethos have truly captured my heart and I'm very proud that I am now a volunteer ambassador for them, spreading their chest checking message wherever I can.

Being a volunteer ambassador means I get to see the difference the money that I raise makes. That's special and a real privilege.

This week i've been talking to my clients about holiday dates and when I won't be working. So when I take some days off in August, this is why...

This year I will be climbing Snowdon. At night. Because why do it in daylight when night time makes it so much harder! Good job I love a challenge!

Training is interesting as i'm currently being hampered by a kidney stone and bursitis in my hip! 🙈 But the trek must go on, so i'm doing what I can, when I can, and one way or another I WILL complete the climb on 29th August.

Should anyone wish to encourage me to get to the top of Snowdon then here is the link to my Just Giving page. https://www.justgiving.com/page/jenni-boast-snowdon26?utm_medium=FR&utm_source=CL

In the meantime, please remember, breast cancer can happen to anyone, at any age. Checking your chest and knowing your normal is key. Early detection saves lives x

Here's hoping you're as invested in my RSPB membership as I am! 🤣😂

My first trip to RSPB Sandwell Valley with one of my clients. I can't believe that this beautiful scenery is less than 25 minutes away from Halesowen. It's stunning, and so peaceful.

Safe to say myself and my client had a lovely time there drinking in these views, whilst enjoying a cuppa. The scenery and wildlife are incredible and the staff are so welcoming and accommodating. A definite recommendation from me.

Very exciting news....

Today I became a member of the RSPB. After visiting their gorgeous nature reserve at Sandwell Valley a couple of times in the last few weeks, I fell in love with how peaceful it is, how much wildlife you can see, the man made lake, the gorgeous scenery and how welcoming the RSPB staff and volunteers are.

Lots of my clients love flowers, plants, nature and wildlife, so I feel really blessed that I have the ability to now take them to such a beautiful place and watch them enjoy everything the nature reserve has to offer.

My first visit is on Friday, as when I asked my client where he would like to go he said 'I'd love to sit by water'. So sit by water we shall, more than likely with a cuppa in our hands whilst putting the world to rights.

Looking forward to creating many lovely memories with some of my clients.

This is me, and I'm a home help. I'm also:

a councillor
a family liason officer
a listening ear when you need it most.

a support worker
a friend
a hug when you feel you need one.

a housekeeper
a confidant
a finder of peace when you feel overwhelmed.

I am anything and everything you need me to be for you and your family. Always.

I am a home help and VERY proud of that.

Thank you to everyone who allowed me to change my working pattern this week to go away in our new campervan.

We had a great time! Couldn't of really asked for better weather, food or company. I am refreshed and ready to see some of my clients tomorrow.

Last photo - The dog would also like you to know that he is grateful we got to go away and that he had a very relaxing time too! 🤣😂❤️

The very best way to finish a lovely week off. Cake and a cuppa with a client, and yes, that cake was as big and delicious as it looks! 😂🤣

I'm now signing off to spend quality time with my family.

Happy Easter to my clients, their families and all my followers.

Flowers and a card for a client whose birthday it is next week. Today was the last time I would see her before the big day so she needed spoiling!

She loved them and they were proudly stood in a vase within 10 minutes of me giving them to her.

It's the little things that make a big difference x

Well, what a lovely time I've had at Brockencote Hall today having afternoon tea with my lovely client Charles. Very kindly he bought me this as my Christmas present, and what a treat it was! Their homemade iced tea was like liquid gold, the food was delicious and the service excellent.

Thank you Charles. It is so appreciated x
