Come along with us to an event!
We attended the Patient Carer Race Equality Framework (PCREF) event hosted by Nottinghamshire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust. It was a chance to listen to some important discussions, share more about our work and showcase our new name, Community Voices Matter, the home of Healthwatch Nottingham & Nottinghamshire. If you spot us out and about, come and say hello.

Our Annual General Meeting is coming up on Thursday 19 November, 6:30pm to 7:30pm, online via Microsoft Teams. It’s an hour, it’s free, and you don’t need any experience. Here’s what to expect:

📊 Our year in review. We’ll share the difference we’ve made over the past year and what we’ve heard from the community.

🔭 What’s next. Our plans for the year ahead and how we’ll keep championing local voices in health and social care across Nottingham and Nottinghamshire.

💷 Annual accounts. A look at how we’ve used our funding, so you can see where the money goes.

🗳 Governance and board elections. The more formal part, where we confirm how we’re run and elect our board members.

Everyone is welcome, including members of the public, voluntary and community organisations, health and social care professionals, and local partners.

Healthwatch or Community Voices Matter? What's the difference? 🤔

In this video, we explain it. Healthwatch Nottingham and Nottinghamshire is our statutory work, including things like Enter & View visits. Community Voices Matter is our wider identity as an independent organisation, the home of Healthwatch, where we gather what people tell us and take it to the people who make decisions.

Same team, same commitment to listening. A new name and a broader reach. 💙

Why have we rebranded? 💙

Proposed changes in the health bill could put the future of Healthwatch at risk. Whatever happens, we want to make sure people's voices keep being heard.

Community Voices Matter gives us our own independent identity, so we can keep listening to people across Nottingham and Nottinghamshire, bring their experiences together and take them to the people who make decisions.

Our mission hasn't changed. Neither has our team. We're making sure the work carries on.
