Merry Christmas from Pathway Homes!

On behalf of our team, we want to wish our friends and followers a happy Christmas. We hope you all enjoy the festive celebrations.

We’re well aware that our greatest asset is our people. That’s why we are committed to investing in our workforce and actively encouraging our staff to complete CPD training programmes to advance their industry knowledge and skills.

A special thanks to our lovely Acquisitions Administrator, Kaitlyn, for providing an insight into her training experience at Pathway Homes. She’s nearly completed her Level 2 in Housing and Property Management, and we’re so proud of her hard work and commitment to her studies!

Now more than ever, access to stable and safe housing must be readily available to individuals and families throughout the country.

With the cost-of-living crisis only set to worsen this winter and with rising rents and household bills, many people will be at risk of homelessness.

This isn’t right! We all have a moral duty to protect and support those most in need within our local communities.

With Christmas fast approaching, foodbanks and charities across the UK have been preparing for what many of them think will be their busiest Christmas yet. The cost-of-living crisis has left many families with no option but to turn to charities for support, and we wanted to help.

Earlier today, our lovely Tim and Lauren travelled to Blackpool Foodbank and The Art Café in Preston to donate food, toiletries, and some extra Christmas treats to support the charities in the great work they do.

It was our pleasure to make today’s donation!

What is low-carbon retrofitting?

Low-carbon retrofitting is a construction process that helps improve existing homes and make them more energy efficient.

Many homes within the UK, especially older builds, are prone to heat loss, which results in rising energy costs and bills. Low-carbon retrofitting has been introduced to try and combat these problems and to help the UK meet its target of reducing carbon emissions by 2050.

At Pathway Homes, we take a “whole-house approach” to retrofitting and utilise the most impactful and cost-effective measures in all of our developments. We focus on improving the fabric of each property and upgrading heat sources (including changing old, inefficient boilers to A-rated) to positively impact energy efficiency, reduce emissions and decrease energy costs.

The partnerships we have established add value to communities throughout the country and make a huge difference for those individuals and families in need of housing support.

We respect and value everything our partners do and what they achieve for local communities, and we are so proud to play our part in supporting them.
