Gnr Benjamin Sonny Rafton
Lads, our mate Ben Rafton would have turned 25 on Saturday. His mum Somaya has sent the following message
“Don't forget next Saturday from 2pm bens celebration for his birthday on babbacome downs BBQ music balloons send off with ashes and then babbacome inn music and drinks from 2pm. Bring anyone you want all welcome x”
I’ll be there. Any lad who was a friend of Ben’s, particularly on this group is a friend of mine. Ben was known and loved by so many people, in so many capacities. So if anyone wants to join the family to remember him on his birthday, but is unsure for whatever reason, drop me a message and I’ll happily meet up with you before hand and go with you.
RIP Ben. You and your incredible sense of humour, infectious smile, and constant drive to make a difference in the world is sorely missed brother.

It is 13 years today since we lost Fusilier Lee Rigby. A Langley lad from Middleton serving in the Royal Regiment of Fusiliers.
The young dad was just 25 when he was murdered outside Woolwich Barracks in south-east London.
Never forgotten.
His son Jack, now 15, went on to inspire us all by raising £40,000 for child bereavement charity His dad would no doubt be unbelievably proud💪👊
RIP Lee. We remember you and hold your family in our thoughts today 🌺

We hear it all the time.
Most days don’t fall apart because of one big thing.
It’s the small stuff that stacks up and takes over.
Mood goes. Focus goes.
Energy ends up going into things that don’t actually matter.
And the thing that did matter that day?
Doesn’t get done.
This isn’t a cure all.
But it’s a simple tool that helps break that spiral.
⸻
STOP
FIND THREE THINGS THAT STILL STAND
APPLY IT TO WHAT’S JUST HAPPENED
⸻
Example:
A colleague you don’t get on with knocks into you and spills coffee all over you.
You’ve got a date tonight. You’re wearing the shirt you planned to go in.
Easy route:
Take it personally.
Convince yourself it was deliberate.
Let it ruin your mood and your evening before it’s even started.
Instead:
STOP
Think:
1. I’m ahead today, I can finish a bit early
2. I’ve got that new shirt at home I’ve not worn yet
3. I’ve got time to get home, shower and reset properly
⸻
You’re out walking the dog.
Another owner lets theirs run wild. Nearly kicks off.
STOP
1. The Sun’s glorious and you’re out in stunning countryside
2. Neither dog is hurt
3. Your dog’s sound, and you’ll probably never see them again
⸻
Nothing out there has changed.
But your position in it has.
That’s the difference.
⸻
Sounds simple. It is.
Give it a go.
If this one’s not shifting - post on the group- chat to a mate or someone you trust. We’ve got you.
If you find it helps..
Share it with a mate who might need it.
Let us know how you get on boys ⬇️

Great work!
Mental Health Awareness Week 2026 – Action
This year’s theme for Mental Health Awareness Week is “Action.”
Action can be as simple as checking in on a friend, starting a conversation, asking for help, or letting someone know they are not alone. Sometimes the smallest actions can make the biggest difference in someone’s life.
At Scott foundation, we believe action means creating safe spaces, breaking stigma, listening without judgement, and making sure young people know there is always someone there to talk to.
Mental health affects so many people quietly, and too often struggles remain hidden behind a smile. This week is a reminder that we all have the power to act, through kindness, support, understanding and compassion.
In Scott’s memory, every day for us is about mental health awareness. We continue to work tirelessly to raise as much awareness as possible and provide as many safe places and support networks as we can throughout Falkirk, in the hope of preventing further youth su***des.
No one should ever feel they are facing things alone or that su***de is their best or only option ❤️🖤
