🌿⏳ City Nature Challenge Starts THIS WEEK! Top Tips for Great Wildlife Photos 📸🌍

Ready to capture some amazing nature? Here are our top tips to help your observations stand out 👇

📸 Get close (but stay safe!)
Fill the frame with your subject so it’s easier to identify.

🌿 Take multiple angles
Snap from different sides – leaves, flowers, wings, or patterns all help with ID!

☀️ Use natural light
Try to avoid harsh shadows or flash – natural light gives the best detail.

🐜 Be patient
Wildlife doesn’t always stay still… take your time and wait for the moment!

📱 Keep it steady
Hold your phone still or rest it on something to avoid blurry shots.

🔍 Focus on the details
Close-ups of textures, markings, or colours can make all the difference.

✨ Top tip: Even common species are important – everything you record counts!

❓ Do I need to be an expert?
Not at all! Anyone can take part – just snap what you see and upload it.

📱 What do I need?
Just your phone and the free iNaturalist app. That’s it!

🌳 What counts as wildlife?
Everything! Plants, animals, insects, fungi…🌼🐝🍄

📍 Where can I take part?
Anywhere in your local area – parks, gardens, streets, anywhere! We’ve got plenty of events over the weekend!

👩‍👧 Can I take part with friends or family?
Absolutely! It’s a great activity to do together.

🕒 When do I upload observations?
During the challenge dates – we’ll remind you when it starts 😊
