Ready to capture some amazing nature? Here are our top tips to help your observations stand out ๐
๐ธ Get close (but stay safe!)
Fill the frame with your subject so itโs easier to identify.
๐ฟ Take multiple angles
Snap from different sides โ leaves, flowers, wings, or patterns all help with ID!
โ๏ธ Use natural light
Try to avoid harsh shadows or flash โ natural light gives the best detail.
๐ Be patient
Wildlife doesnโt always stay stillโฆ take your time and wait for the moment!
๐ฑ Keep it steady
Hold your phone still or rest it on something to avoid blurry shots.
๐ Focus on the details
Close-ups of textures, markings, or colours can make all the difference.
โจ Top tip: Even common species are important โ everything you record counts!
