Vote Palestine 16/05/2026

Dear Pledger,

OUR MOVEMENT'S WINS!
The 2026 local elections are now over. Here's what you and our campaigns across the country managed to achieve by taking the People's Pledge for Palestine. Along with thousands of others across England, we committed to build an electoral movement that firmly put Palestine on the ballot and rejected local council's financial complicity in occupation and genocide!

Together, you achieved:

- Thousands of voters Pledged for Palestine; 34,000+ searches for Pledged Candidates using the Vote Palestine website.

- Over 16 grassroots campaigns organised nationally, with 1000+ hours of community canvassing & dozens of local action days across cities!

- 610 Pledged Candidates successfully elected to Local Councils across England

- A total of 83 Councils now contain Pledged Councillors.

- Pledged mayoral candidates and prominent advocates for divestment oust Labour in both Lewisham and Hackney - where Vote Palestine had active grassroots campaigns!

- Pledged Candidates prevent Labour from re-gaining Council majorities in Newcastle, Lambeth, Wandsworth, Islington & Newham - where Vote Palestine had active grassroots campaigns! - Reform Councillor Alan Mendoza, President of the Zionist Jewish National Fund, voted out in Westminster, and Pledged Candidates make new gains in Sheffield - where Vote Palestine also had active grassroots campaigns!

OUR WORK CONTINUES!
In the aftermath of the elections, our work is not over. We must carry on fighting for Palestine both inside and outside of our local government.

This Saturday, join the Palestinian Youth Movement Britain's bloc at the Nakba 78 National March. Join us at 11:00 AM under the Great Exhibition Memorial SW7 2BB to march with our Arab Unity bloc - all Arabs and non-Arabs welcome. Let's show up strong, refuse the political fragmentation of our struggle and show that resistance is tireless!

Until full divestment. Until liberation. Free Palestine!

Sincerely,

Vote Palestine 2026

Thanks to everyone who posted support & interest. Wasn't about winning, still a learning process, did some things well & some not so much. Feedback mainly that people were voting tactically against present Govt in Westminister/Hollyrood or against Reform. Understandable & thanks to the 865 or 2.4% who voted with me for a different kind of change to the political narrative. Back to normal?working life with the hope that my message of hope was enough to make a small change. ❤️

Twenty Twenty Six 07/05/2026

Been so busy missed this comedy series launch. Hilarious.

Twenty Twenty Six 48 countries, three host nations - former BBC head of values Ian Fletcher takes on the world’s biggest football tournament. So that's all good then. Starring Hugh Bonneville.

Is this true, what do you think?

Kathy (@parislychee) A former Apple software engineer is whistleblowing, claiming that every time a new iPhone was released, Apple pushed an update that deliberately slowed older models to push people into upgrading. “I used to be a software engineer at Apple, and with every new phone that was released, malware was in...
