Adebayo Adelabu is well qualified in many respects to aspire to the governorship of Oyo State; however, some of his utterances reflect elements of Ajimobism, which may not sit well with the people of Oyo.

The electorate in Oyo State tends to strongly dislike rhetoric that appears reckless or overly proud.

On the other hand, Senator Folarin comes across as mature and composed. If he were to secure the APC governorship ticket, he has the potential to be a capable and effective administrator.

There are also other competent and brilliant candidates in the race.

Oyo State is truly blessed with abundant human and natural resources.

Unfortunately, history suggests that electoral decisions in the state are often driven less by affection for a candidate and more by opposition to those voters strongly dislike. In such circumstances, the overriding objective becomes defeating the unpopular candidate, regardless of who emerges as the alternative.

“Looking at Nigeria’s history, it seems obvious that truly principled politicians are extremely rare. Politics has largely become a business venture, where many people chase positions without offering real ideas. I like Reno Omokri, but even he, like others, appears to be operating within that business-driven political culture.”

Whenever you are seeking for an advice, seek from those who have passed through the same pathway.

Do not ask about City life from a chronic villager, he will mislead you.

It's surprising to see a single dishing out advice about marriage life.

How can a secondary school leaver tells story about university life... ko possible.

A goat cannot swim better than a fish in the pool.

Theory is far different from practical.

Good morning!

I was once a victim of a bad comment from a university lecturer. I always feel the pain in my heart💔 anytime I remember the nasty comment I received from a university of Ibadan lecturer during my undergraduate in medical school, UCH Ibadan.

If such comment was made in a country that values human beings, that lecturer would have lost her job immediately.

Unfortunately, we do not speak up🤐 on this part of the world, because of "fear of consequent victimisation" from the lecturer and their colleagues.

Speaking up as a student in Nigeria is like reporting Gen. Sanni Abacha to Al-Mustapha, you won't get justice. 🤷🏼‍♂️

Some of my classmates, including me, failed her course, and she had the effrontery to tell us before the whole class. She said and I quote,

.

We all felt pain 😪 in our hearts, but we could not speak up🤐😭.
Who will we speak up to? Kosi!

It is sad some lecturers derive joy from failing their students. NONSENSE!

How many medals have you won since you have been failing students unreasonably? Ask yourself!😏

We could not speak up then, those who spoke up against mistreatment from lecturers at one time or the other gambled with their BSc certificates.
As a son of nobody, the only hope I had was that certificate, I kuku endured the pains and hatred from few lecturers. I nearly kpai myself but God was/is my strength 💪.

Then, I did not have the power to challenge her, I left her to God (Mo faa le olohun lowo), but I will never forget and forgive her wicked attitude in my life.

May God bless all other lecturers who took us like their children, who showed us the way to success.

One of the kindhearted lecturers cried when she heard I failed, she couldn't believe it. She cried but UNFORTUNATELY she too could not speak up for us. Not her fault, our system is so bad to the extent that even junior lecturers are afraid of speaking up. May God bless her!

UI is blessed with a lot of brilliant and well-behaved lecturers.
Kudos to those ones and God bless them!

Advice:
University lecturers are not God.
Stop acting like one.
Stop being happy when students failed.
You also failed when your students failed.

Recommendation:
University lecturers, including vice Chancellors and other public office holders would benefit from EQUALITY, INCLUSION and DIVERSITY Training.
This training will reshape their attitude positively towards students and their colleagues.

Then, university should create an avenue of gathering anonymous feedback from students.
Constructive feedback is a tool for improvement. I am more than happy to educate all Nigeria lecturers on this, whenever they are ready.

Let's change the narratives.
Let's among lecturers and students, it is affecting students' mental health.
They are students, NOT SLAVES!

Some lecturers have killed a lot of brilliant students with their insensitive comments.

Render your service according to your job description.

You do not need to force your faith or ideology on others or students.

Mrs lecturer, for your information, I am still living with the PAIN your comment created in my ❤️ heart.

Respect and care for your students, they are someone's children.

Politicians are at their usual work of telling lies.

When they tell you they will do this and that, ask them how will they achieve their goals, because 99.9% of them know nothing. I mean nothing.

Start asking questions.
Ask how and when?

Barka Jimoh!
