πΏππ± For the second year running National Libraries Week has gone Green! Happy Green Libraries Week. πΏππ±
Alongside the usual rhyme times, story times, crafts, book groups and class visits, in our childrenβs libraries this week, you will also find Green activities like the .library Saturday craft club which will be painting natures friends as their craft material on Saturday. And of course, it goes without saying, all branches have a wonderful selection of books on ecology for our younger generation to peruse and borrow!

π«π―π²π Come along to one of our two storytime sessions with author Velma McClymout as she takes you on a storytelling journey with her imaginative new picture book A Home for Mr No-Roach.
Set in rural Jamaica and following the story of Mr No-Roach, a retireil sheemaker, this delightful story is told using Caribbean storytelling traditions accompanied by Brer Anacy and a beetle who is the village gossip News-Bug. Come along and share this tale at a special storytime event.π«π―π²π

We have two Spooky Story themed Chatterbooks sessions for children 7-11 yrs old, with book chat and crafts, in our libraries this month. Firstly at Roehampton Library this Monday 7th October 4pm-5.30pm and Balham Library on Monday 21st October 4pm-5pm. Drop by, and share your favourite spooky story with us, play some games and make a craft, we look forward to seeing you!
