Absolutely honoured to have supported this mother over many months and welcoming her son this summer alongside her incredible mother as birth partner. The speed of this birth was called “atypical” with surges lasting no more than 30/40 seconds until right at the end, having sped through early and active labour with a slowing down of many hours and pause before pushing - but really “atypical” means nothing in physiological birth. We trusted her intuition, strength, her body’s pace, and the dance and communication between her and baby.
The most beautiful energy seeing generations of women hold each other, and to witness him arrive in his own time 🫶🙏
