Jai Bhim and Revolutionary Greetings

The Global Ambedkarite Scholars Association (GASA) inaugurated the first ever Caste-Lecture Series.

This session served as a critical space for engaging in thoughtful discussions on the contemporary discourse surrounding caste.
we explored the inspiring journeys and achievements of the first generation of Bahujan individuals who have triumphed over systemic barriers. Their success stories serve as a beacon of hope, paving the way for future generations to overcome obstacles and thrive.

Expanding our horizons, we delved into the global resonance of the anti-caste movement. The conversation surrounding caste discrimination extends far beyond India, sparking discussions and igniting change in foreign universities.

We also dealt about the efforts being made on an international scale to address this pressing issue.

In addition, we analysed the powerful role of Dalit-Bahujan politics in universities. These movements challenge casteism, Brahminical hegemony, and various forms of oppression. By fostering intersectionality and solidarity, they contribute to broader social justice struggles in India and inspire change worldwide.

Prof. Gaurav J Pathania, an eminent scholar, took us through these discussions. Drawing from personal experiences and extensive research, Prof. Pathania shed light on the significance of these movements and their profound impact on society.

Jai Bhim and Revolutionary Greetings to everyone,

We invite you to our first-ever Global Ambedkarite Scholars Association session, the Caste-Lecture Series. GASA is a critical space for discussing caste discourse in contemporary times.

The anti-caste moment has gained momentum and spurred a critical analogy regarding how we perceive caste and how the caste-discrimination continues in the personal social, and civil spaces. Join us in an intellectual conversation with our esteemed speaker Prof. Gaurav J Pathania, an eminent scholar.

The session will focus on how in recent years, Dalit-Bahujan student movements have gained momentum in universities across India, challenging the dominant narratives and power structures that historically marginalized their communities. This session will explore the role of Dalit-Bahujan student politics in transforming the university as a site of resistance and reclaiming spaces that have long been denied to them.

Drawing from personal experiences and research, Gaurav J Pathania will discuss how Dalit-Bahujan student movements have sought to challenge casteism, Brahminical hegemony, and other forms of oppression in higher education. He will highlight the importance of intersectionality and solidarity in these movements and how they have contributed to broader social justice struggles in India.
