8 months of hard work and dedication came to an end at yesterday's Cabinet Meeting at Shropshire Council. After a three hour long meeting the decision was made: Shirehall is up for sale.

Cllr Dawn Husemann, who lead the task and finish group, spoke to Adam Green on his show on BBC Radio Shropshire this morning about the decision and what it means for the residents of Shropshire. She is on 3h35mins into Adam's show. It's worth a listen.

Whether you agreed with her politics or not, Ann Widdecombe was a formidable person, a great speaker and a true patriot. We had the honour of welcoming her to our South Shropshire Branch last December and only last night were we reminiscing about her visit.

Our condolences go to her family and friends. You will be missed by many, Ann. May you rest in peace.

Britain is broken, we need an election. I am calling for a General Election at the soonest possible date.

The polls have just closed in Makerfield. All we can do now is wait for the results. Whatever the outcome, it's not for lack of effort on everyone's behalf. Good luck Rob!
