Webway 30/04/2021

The Webway is a vast and complex network of tunnels and passages between the Warp and realspace used by the different aeldari factions, which connect innumerable locations through the galaxy, built millions of years ago by the Old Ones, where the dark city of Commorragh and the Black Library lay hidden and safe from any attack.

It is thanks to the Webway that the eldar can still function through the galaxy as they do, for their potent souls make all direct travel through the Warp a dangerous enterprise, as they attract great daemonic attention; as well as making the travel far faster and more precise than navigating through the currents of the Immaterium, for even after having sustained heavy damage from Slaanesh’s birth and the apparition of the Cicatrix, it remains a calm paradise for those who know how to travel through it by contrast.

And yet, they aren’t the only ones to use it, for along with lurking daemons and other more exotic threats, the necrons have managed to claim access to it through their Dolmen Gates, if a partial one, as the Webway recognizes the unathorized entries as threats, which have led for isolation of compromised portions.

Webway The Webway, also known as the Labyrinth Dimension, or the Labyrinthine Dimension in older texts, is an extra-dimensional space partitioned off from the Immaterium millions of Terran years ago by an extremely advanced xenos species known as the Old Ones. Today, it isutilised by the Aeldari Asuryani o...

Greater Good 23/04/2021

The Greater Good is the key philosophical principle held by the t’au, and the T’au Empire, which holds all sentient beings as having the duty to ensure the greatest good for the greatest amount of beings in the galaxy.

Having appeared along with the first ethereals at the end of the deadly time known as the Mont’au, a long conflict of supremacy between the other four t’au castes, it led them away from the brink of extinction and towards becoming an advanced starfaring civilization in a few millenia.

If, to reach such heights so quickly, the ethereal caste has fully enmeshed the concept of the Greater Good into every facet of t’au culture, while also ensuring their position at the top of the T’au Empire’s hierarchy. For the greater good of all, of course…

Greater Good A T'au chooses neither its caste nor its True Name. We are blood born to the first and borne by blood to the second, named for what we have done and might yet do. And like ourselves, our true names are not carved in stone. The Tau'va The Greater Good, or Tau'va (literally the "Good Greater" in the T...

Kroot 16/04/2021

The Kroot are a sentient xeno species usually found around the galaxy acting in mercenary duties for many different employers, with their relationship with the T’au Empire being the most stable one.

Evolved from avian creatures from their homeplanet of Pech, from which they have inherited their bird-like beak and feather-like quills, they are a nomadic savage civilisation with the ability to adopt the traits of beings they consume, allowing them to rapidly evolve on a singular level from a biological point, with their more advanced technology seemingly having being gained from their extensive consumption of ork flesh granting them a limited version of some of their technological exploits and genetic affinity, including their Warp-capable War Sphere stations.

Kroot "They are fierce indeed these Kroot, and savage. I look upon them and tremble at their ferocity. I can only hope that when the enemy sees them they tremble as I do." Por'Vre'Tau'Cho, Water Caste Envoy to Sy'l'Kell prior to the ambush of the 17th Brimlock Dragoons The Kroot (Krootis aviana), also des...

Atípicos entre los marines espaciales, cada miembro es un potente psíquico, entrenado en la Ciudadela de Titán para ser capaz de soportar toda clase de tormentos, físicos y mentales, incluso a manos de los horrores de la Disformidad.

Grey Knights 13/04/2021

The elite even within the elite Adeptus Astartes, the Grey Knights are both the military arm of the inquisitorial Ordo Malleus, and the space marines designed by Malcador the Sigillite and the God-Emperor of Mankind to combat against daemons and the corruptive threats spawned by Chaos.

Atypical when compared to other space marines, each and every member is a potent psyker, trained at the Citadel of Titan to be able of withstanding all torments, physical and mental, even from the horrors of the Warp.

Grey Knights "We are the warriors of the Grey Knights, armoured in faith, shielded by devotion and armed with purity of purpose. But greater even than these, we carry the light of the divine Emperor of Man into the dark places to purge the daemonic wherever it may be found." Brother-Captain Arvann Stern The Grey...

Chaos Gods 08/04/2021

The Chaos Gods

The Chaos Gods are the malignant reflection of all collective thought and emotion in the galaxy, corrupted by the turmoil and bloodshed of the War in Heaven. They are the greatest threat to sanity and order in the galaxy, with legions of degenerate cultists and countless daemons seeking to expand their realm of madness by painting the stars red with the blood of the sane, ignorant and innocent alike.

Chaos Gods The Chaos Gods, also called the Dark Gods or the Ruinous Powers, are powerful entities who inhabit and control the psychic dimension that underlies all physical reality known as the Immaterium or the Warp. They are created and sustained by the emotions and collective desires of every sentient being....

Inquisition 05/04/2021

The Inquisition

Formally known as the Holy Orders of the Emperor's Inquisition, it is the organization meant to act as the Imperium's secret police force, acting outside the usual administration to better serve the God-Emperor of Mankind's realm.

Wielding power granted by the very Golden Throne, it is their right and duty to ensure the security of the Imperium's stability, and the loyalty of it's subjects; which they ensure through secrecy, espionage, forceful conscription and the threat of excommunication and Exterminatus.

Inquisition "...the Inquisition merely performs the duty of its office. To further fear them is redundant, to hate them, heretical. Those more sensible will place responsibility with those who forced their hands..." Captain Gabriel Angelos, Blood Ravens Chapter, after the Exterminatus of Typhon Primaris The Inq...

Age of Technology 01/04/2021

The Age of Technology, the lost age of splendor where mankind reached it's zenith in technology and development as it spread along the stars; broken by the rebellion of the Men of Iron, humanity's formerly servile sentient androids, and the Warp Storms that isolated the distant planets where it had settled.

While the inventions and works from that age, and the corrupted STC databases they left behind which are sought by the Adeptus Mechanicus, have allowed the Imperium's rule of the galaxy, it is called the Dark Age of Technology for a reason: that it was an age where science and exploration ruled humanity, rather than the light of faith and fanatism.

Age of Technology The Age of Technology, informally often referred to as the Dark Age of Technology, was the zenith of Mankind's scientific knowledge and technological power in the Milky Way Galaxy, which lasted from the 15th Millennium A.D. until the onset of the Age of Strife in the 25th Millennium. It saw the deve...

Terra 25/03/2021

Birthplace of mankind, and throneworld of the Imperium; Terra is the holiest land for humanity in the whole galaxy, as the place where the God-Emperor of Mankind sits enthroned, projecting the Astronomican, and it is there that the High Lords of Terra, rulers of the Imperium in his name, and the administrative and political factions they control, gather at to take decisions that shake the fate of the galaxy.

Soon after his return from the dead, Roboute Guilliman led the Terran Crusade, an endeavor to reach hallowed Terra, and assume control of the beleaguered Imperium after the disastrous events of the Thirteen Black Crusade, the fall of Cadia, and the creation of the Cicatrix Maledictum, so as to guide it following his wise rule under the auspices of the God-Emperor himself.

Terra Beautiful on the surface, but rotten underneath. Don't ever, even for a second, doubt that this is the most dangerous world in the galaxy.... Danger does not always come in the shape of Orks with bolters, Ragnar. This world is where the elite of the Imperium have gathered. We are talking now of the....

Psyker 22/03/2021

Blessed and cursed with the ability to wield eldritch power, psykers are individuals who's very souls act as a conduit for the power of the Warp, granting them great might and risking their sanity.

Each and every one of the major powers of the galaxy counts with psykers among their military forces; from the gifted sanctioned psykers of the Imperium's Astra Telepathica, to the psyker client races of the T'au Empire, the WAAAAGH-fuelled ork Weirdboyz, or the asuryani Farseers, among others; or well count with methods to combat and nullify psyker abilities, such as the necron blackstone pylons or the drukhari Crucible of Malediction.

Psyker A Psyker is an individual of any intelligent species in the Warhammer 40,000 universe who possesses some degree of psychic ability or powers. Psychic powers are sometimes referred to as "sorcery" when they are gained or enhanced through interaction and bargaining with the malevolent entities who exi...

Immaterium 17/03/2021

The Warp, the Immaterium, the Aether, the Sea of Souls and a thousand other names; to try and describe the reflection of all sentience and psychic power, as well as the source and resting place of the souls of all beings.

And twisted by millions of years of war and death, turned into the abode of horrors, daemons and Dark Gods alike; incarnate reflections of the worst aspects of sentient beings.

Immaterium The Warp is a strange and terrible place. You might as well throw a traveller into a sea of sharks and tell him to swim home as send him through the Warp unprotected. Better it is not to let common man travel through the stars. Better still, let him not know such a thing is feasible.Fra Safrane, 5th...
