BASSTONE PLAYGROUND is a family art installation which will be open during 'The Music is Ours' festival weekend celebrating soundsystem culture.

At BASSTONE PLAYGROUND by () you can:

The Music is Black Festival kicks off this summer with its first live weekender: THE MUSIC IS OURS. A two-day celebration of Black British music and culture in the birthplace of Grime.

Curated by grime legend Footsie, we celebrate London's Soundsystem legacy bringing you epic DJs, MCs and live sets across grime, ska, alternative R&B, reggae and more - plus a family day party and a late-night event: Garage X Grime Reload at Sadler's Wells East.

Curated by double MOBO Award winner YolanDa Brown OBE, Soul Mama London and My Runway Group, expect soul, jazz, live bands and feel-good vibes, with Sunday Sessions continuing at Sadler's Wells East on the dancefloor with Breakin' Convention.

Celebrating the sound, legacy and future of Black q***r music culture, from underground club spaces and grassroots collectives to global dancefloors. Curated by Joel mignott, Shy One, Donnie Sunshine and Mark-Ashley Dupé.

🚀 BLACK TO THE FUTURE | 12–13 September
A family-friendly closing party bringing together Black artists who bend genres and break barriers with storytelling, imagination and futurism. Curated by The Blues Project and FLOHIO.
