Storii Chapter One began with a question: what does the perfect skin scent smell like?

The answer was warm, soft and musky, the kind of fragrance that someone notices when they are close to you and cannot quite place.

Vanilla, tonka & mallow. Worn like a second skin.

Several of my friends tested this one before launch and they all said the same thing: they just loved wearing it. It is genuinely that easy.

Do you know it? That feeling that happens the moment you arrive at the coast.

The air changes before you can even see the sea. There is a brightness to it, a freshness, a sense of space opening up. That is what I was trying to capture with Coast.

🍋It opens with lemon, mandarin, bergamot and lime, citrusy and alive from the first spritz.
🌊The heart is built around fresh seaweed absolute and an ozonic accord that creates a genuine feeling of air and space.
🪵The base settles into light amber, driftwood and sea moss, clean and grounding, like the coast after the tide has gone out.

Arfordir is the Welsh word for coast. The land along the edge of the sea.

Our regular studio sessions continue on the 6th and 13th June. Small groups, hands-on, no experience needed. Link in bio to book.

And something a little different: on Friday 19th June I am collaborating with , just outside Monmouth, for an afternoon workshop - 'Farm to Fragrance'.

The day begins with a guided tour of the lavender field and the chance to pick your own blooms. We then move into the studio for a perfumery workshop exploring lavender as a fragrance material: its history, its complexity, and how it actually behaves in a composition. You will leave with a 30ml bottle of fragrance you have made yourself, plus your own bunch of fresh lavender.

Friday 19th June, 2pm to 5pm. £60 per person. Adults only. Small group.
Booking is directly with Parc Grace Dieu Farm.

Tonka bean is one of those materials that is difficult to describe until you smell it.

It is related to vanilla (both come from beans) but tonka has something else going on underneath. A warmth that is almost almond, almost caramel, with a soft powdery quality that clings to skin beautifully.

It appears in Star|Seren, and it is the heart of my Vanilla hair and body mist. It may also be appearing somewhere else before too long 🤫
