My Fight For Life from Heartbreak to Hope

01/02/2026

A few days ago, someone contacted me after watching my videos.
Someone I hadn’t spoken to in over forty years.

What he shared stayed with me, because it’s a reminder of why I keep saying this.

Cancer doesn’t always give you a warning.
Feeling fine doesn’t always mean everything is fine.

It’s the first day of the month.
Please take five minutes today.

Check your breasts.
Get to know your normal.
Men, please get your PSA checked.

I repeat this message not because I like repeating myself,
but because I hope repetition will save someone’s life.

Early detection saves lives.

SAVE this. SHARE it. CHECK yourself.

Sun. Stillness. A good hat.
Healing has a glow.

Happy New Year.
Wherever you are in the world, may 2026 meet you with hope, comfort, and joy. With thankful hearts and glad spirits, we give Him thanks for the year ahead and the blessings still to come.

“There was a brief moment in history when Christmas visits had an expiry time. Fascinating times.”

“Seriously though — a bit of humour helps as I remember loved ones we lost during that time, especially when we were limited to just 30 family members at my sister’s funeral.”

Feeling incredibly thankful as this Christmas marks 10 years since the cancer diagnosis.

What started in fear has grown into survival, faith, and purpose.

I’m still here, and I don’t take that lightly.

Why Me? My fight for Life from Heartbreak to Hope, was written for anyone living with heartbreak, cancer, loss, misdiagnosis or uncertainty.

If you’re looking for a meaningful Christmas gift for someone who is struggling, this book was written with them in mind.

Every copy purchased also supports the work we do through Heartbreak to Hope, helping us continue to support and advocate for others walking a similar road.

Thank you to everyone who has supported, shared, and believed in this journey.
I’m truly grateful.

I had an emotional yet beautiful day at the Macmillan coffee morning, at St George's hospital. It was amazing sharing my story with gorgeous people, who were intrigued by my cancer experience. I was equally encouraged by the many cancer stories we shared.
