Bright Young Futures is a semi-independent living provider who support vulnerable young people aged 16-21 based in Ilford and surrounding areas.

We have two fantastic roles available for a Support Worker and Senior Support Worker to join our friendly team.

Job Description:

Our organisation works to support and mentor challenging and vulnerable young people to achieve their maximum potential through quality services. A dedication and commitment to safeguard children and promote their welfare is paramount. Support Workers will provide tailored 1 to 1 key work sessions, motivating and encouraging education, apprenticeship and employment, whilst monitoring young people’s ability to develop everyday essential skills in order to live independently.

Job Role/Responsibilities:

·Supporting young people aged 16-21 in semi-independence.

·Encouraging creativity and inclusive approaches to support young people’s development.

·Managing challenging behaviour, providing advice and emotional support.

·Liaising with external agencies.

·Support and assist young people around budgeting money, grocery shopping and weekly allowances (life skills).

·Able to use Microsoft Office and report writing.

·To ensure Health & Safety procedures alongside company Policies & Procedures are adhered to.

·Is respectful, articulate and sensitive in style of communication.

·Is motivated towards excellence and improvement of personal performance with a can do attitude.

Requirements:

·NVQ 2 Health and Social Care or Children and Young People.

·Minimum of 1-years’ experience working with young people in various settings.

·Enhanced DBS certificate (preferably registered with DBS Update Service).
