We spent time aligning on strategy, strengthening collaboration, and building closer connections with colleagues across the business. With continuous recruitment underway, it’s exciting to see the team expanding week by week.

This session was all about introductions, shared goals, and setting the tone for what’s ahead — a real sense of alignment and ambition among an exceptional group of people.

We are looking for a hands-on Operations Manager to lead our fire protection engineering division at Abbot Fire Group (Part of Complii). If you are a leader who balances operational excellence with a people-first approach, we want to hear from you. 
 
This is a national role based in Buckingham, overseeing a team of 15 Fire Protection Engineers and driving a £3M+ operation.
 
The role

Based in Buckingham with a national reach, you’ll be the heartbeat of our field operations. Whether you’re coaching a technician on ANSUL R102 standards in a commercial kitchen or presenting compliance strategies to a key client, you’ll drive the standards that keep people safe. You’ll champion a safety-first culture, oversee KPIs like first-time fix rates, and mentor your team to identify value-led growth opportunities.
 
Who you are

You’re a seasoned leader with a background in engineering or fire protection (BAFE, CHAS, ISO 9001). You’re as comfortable diving into technical audits as you are motivating a remote team. Most importantly, you’re a proactive problem-solver who thrives on variety, from the office to the field.

What a day for the Complii Fire division earlier this week.

In Q4 of FY25, we took decisive action to address our key challenges: re-establishing ownership, direction, and accountability across the board. As a result, we entered FY26 with clear expectations and strong momentum.

This week was about reflecting on our progress and aligning on our FY26 strategy. As we look ahead to the next 12 months, this team is focused, aligned, and ready to deliver.

We are delighted to announce that Rick Anderson has joined Complii as the Divisional Sales Director for our Fire Division.

Rick brings a strategic leadership background to the team, beginning his career in the Royal Corps of Signals before transitioning into the fire safety industry. He has built his expertise from the ground up - starting as a Fire Extinguisher Service Technician before quickly moving into senior management roles.

Most recently, as Commercial Sales Director, he held responsibility for Sales and Account Management, consistently outperforming growth targets over a nine -year period.

In his new role, Rick will lead our sales strategy with a focus on national accounts and strategic expansion. His leadership is rooted in a culture of transparency and technical excellence, ensuring that we continue to provide the innovative fire safety solutions our clients rely on.

As Scott McKay, Managing Director of the Fire Division, noted: “We are thrilled to have Rick join the Fire Division as Sales Director. He brings a unique blend of technical expertise and proven commercial leadership. His track record of building high-performing teams and his commitment to transparency make him the ideal leader to drive our sales initiatives and strengthen our key client relationships.”

We are delighted to announce the appointment of Peter Millham as Managing Director – Air & Water Systems Engineering at Complii!

Previously the Managing Director of PH Water (part of Complii), Peter has been a driving force in the UK’s environmental services sector for over two decades. In this expanded role, he will drive the growth of our Air division while continuing to lead the specialist water engineering projects at PH Water and Air Technologies.

Peter brings a wealth of expertise to our air hygiene operations, focusing on solutions that improve air quality and ensure regulatory compliance. Under his direction, our teams deliver mission-critical services such as ductwork maintenance, ventilation hygiene, and air quality assessments.

As our CEO, Sarah Dixon CIWFM, noted: “Peter possesses a wealth of expertise and a proven track record of innovative leadership. His dedication to excellence and client-focused innovation aligns perfectly with Complii’s ethos of combining the best people and technology to deliver unparalleled building compliance services”.
