Today, at the Vatican, upon the personal invitation of His Holiness Pope Leo XIV, I joined world leaders and millions of Catholics in witnessing the beginning of a new papacy.
Pope Leo XIV’s humility, history with Nigeria, and message of peace remind us of the moral leadership the world desperately needs.
As a nation of deep faith and great diversity, Nigeria remains committed to building bridges across belief, race, and continent—for peace, for progress, and for all of humanity.
May the Almighty guide the Holy Father and strengthen all who labour for a more just and compassionate world.

The Concerned Citizens of Kogi state living in the United Kingdom held a peaceful protest today 20th May,2024 at the Nigerian High Commission,London where we submitted a written petition signed by members of the group addressed to his excellency President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
This protest is in respect of the obvious injustice suffered by the citizens of Kogi state in the last administration under the former governor Yahaya Bello’s government, It is a march in support of the effort of the anti-graft agency against all the corrupt practices at the highest level of governance perpetrated against kogi state and her good citizens by the immediate past governor of the state.
In the same vein, another copy of the petition was submitted to the British parliament and government calling on them to add their voice against the injustices, human right violations and corrupt charges against the immediate past governor and his cronies.
We hereby call on the British authorities, Federal government of Nigeria and the International communities to come to the aid of our people by arresting,trying and prosecuting the past governor with the aim of recovering all our stolen funds and prosecuting all parties found guilty in the alleged corruption and human rights violations.
