DAY 23 🎄🤶🎅Myth vs Fact: “Teenagers Are Too Hard to Foster”

MYTH:
“Teenagers in care are too challenging to foster.”

FACT:
Teenagers need the same things as any young person. stability, understanding, boundaries, and someone who believes in them.

Many teenagers in care have experienced disruption or loss, but with the right support, they can thrive. Foster carers often tell us that fostering teenagers is deeply rewarding — from helping them build confidence, supporting education or training, to simply being a trusted adult during a crucial stage of life.

In Enfield, carers fostering teenagers receive tailored support, training, and guidance to help navigate challenges and celebrate progress along the way.

💬 Sometimes, all a teenager needs is someone who won’t give up on them.
