Could you spare a little time to make a big difference?
Runcorn Sea Cadets, along with Sea Cadet units across the country, are looking for volunteers to help support young people in their communities. Whether you have experience in administration, fundraising, teaching, mentoring, event planning, maintenance, or simply a willingness to help, there could be a role for you.
No military or maritime background is required – just enthusiasm and a desire to support local young people as they develop confidence, skills, and friendships.
If you think you, a family member, friend, or colleague might be interested, please get in touch. We’d be delighted to arrange an informal introduction and chat about the opportunities available.
Make Volunteers’ Week the reason you start your volunteering journey.
What Makes a Volunteer?
At Runcorn Sea Cadets, our volunteers come from all kinds of backgrounds; project managers, HR advisors, travel agents, teaching assistants, scrub practitioners, engineers, production operators and many more.
Being a volunteer isn't about job titles or qualifications.
It's about choosing to give your time, supporting young people, and believing in the power of opportunity.
Every volunteer brings something unique; their experience, their personality, their skills, and their passion. Together, they create the supportive environment where our cadets can learn, grow and thrive.
This Volunteers' Week, we're proud to celebrate every member of our team and to recognise the difference they make, week after week.
Because what makes a volunteer isn't what they do for a living...
It's what they choose to do for others. ⚓

Warmest congratulations to the recently promoted C/Sgt Poole from Bebington Sea Cadets and CPO B Cowling-Monks from Sea Cadets Sefton.
Adults commitment to their own personal development sets a powerful example for our cadets, demonstrating that learning, growth, and personal development are lifelong responsibilities and important qualities of effective leadership.
Well done from all of Merseyside West District.

Sea Cadets Merseyside West visited Bebington Sea Cadets this evening.
It was wonderful to catch up with some new cadet faces, newer volunteers and see the lovely new paint work around the building, including the finished Juniors classroom. Very refreshing!
A great display of Drill and ceremonial, cadets in classes and others getting ready for courses and promotion boards.
Keep it up!
