Westminster City Councillor for Pimlico South Ward 🌹🌹🌹

It was great to be at the Tachbrook estate for the opening of the planting hub - in 2023 myself and my colleagues Cllr Cara Sanquest and former Cllr Paul Dimoldenberg wrote to Peabody in support of the many improvements that the TRA had requested.

This green space will allow residents to grow their own herbs, get to know neighbours and allow for intergenerational projects to take place (as we saw on the day residents of all ages planting the herbs and trees) as well as improve residents wellbeing.

Really pleased with what the TRA have achieved and continue to achieve for their community.

I’m so grateful to have been re-elected and for Pimlico South residents putting their trust in me again and giving me another 4 years to serve them ❤️

This was definitely one of the hardest election campaigns I’ve ever faced and the results on the night were devastating. I’m really sad we lost the council. At the same time, I’m incredibly proud of what the Labour administration achieved in such a short amount of time. We worked hard to protect vital services, support residents through the cost of living crisis, improve housing services and stand up for our communities.
I spent hours on the doorstep speaking to residents who were angry and frustrated with the national Labour Party but still positive about the work of the local Labour administration. In the end though, I think the national picture was just too damaging for many people who either decided not to vote Labour this time round or not vote at all.

I think it’s important we acknowledge two things- yes, the progressive vote split, but ultimately Labour councils across the country have paid the price for the mistakes and direction of the national Labour Party.
For years now, people on the left have felt pushed aside by a party that has moved further and further to the right and away from its roots. The purge of the left and abandoning of core values has left a lot of people feeling politically homeless. As local councillors, we were left dealing with the fallout of decisions made by a national party many lifelong Labour voters no longer recognise, despite how hard we were working locally for our communities.

I genuinely think it’s time for the Labour Party to take a step back and reconnect with the people it was created to represent. We need to go back to being the party of working people.
To everyone who supported me, campaigned with me, voted for me or stopped to speak to me on the doorstep - thank you. I’ll continue fighting for Pimlico South every single day ❤️

I know a lot of people are thinking about voting Green in this local election. But the reality is they won’t win the council, and splitting the vote will hand the council back to the Conservatives.
Over the past few years, we’ve delivered more affordable homes, real support for people through the cost of living crisis, and investment in local services like libraries and community hubs, things that are actually making a difference.
And the truth is, the Conservatives will undo that progress.
I get the frustration with national Labour but this election is about who runs your local council.

Since 2022, we’ve got on with the job - improving housing, investing in repairs, raising standards, and putting residents back at the centre.
There’s still more to do, but the progress is real and people are seeing the difference.
We cannot let the Conservatives undo this. They will reverse our policies and take us backwards.
Let’s protect what we’ve built and keep moving forward.

Every vote counts - please vote Labour on 7th May 🌹🌹🌹

It was a real pleasure to stop by and see this initiative come to life, I’m incredibly proud that we’ve been able to open this space for the community to enjoy.
The playground at Churchill Primary is now welcoming children and young people aged 8 to 14, along with their families, for relaxed and supervised play sessions. It’s a space not only for fun and connection, but also for young people to have a genuine say in how it evolves. Residents were invited to share their views through surveys, helping shape what they would like to see in the future.

A few things to expect:

• Opportunities for parents and carers to contribute their views and suggestions
• A chance to be part of shaping a welcoming, inclusive environment that supports young people of all abilities, including SEND, while promoting positive mental health and wellbeing
• Plenty of space for children to play freely and get involved in fun, hands-on activities

Happy St George’s day to everyone celebrating

I hope everyone had a lovely day celebrating England’s history, culture, and traditions. It’s a good moment to appreciate the communities we’re part of and the shared values that bring people together.
