The forest floor is very dark in the rainforest, contrary to popular belief the soil is poor in nutrient and lacks things like calcium and magnesium but it does have elements that help decompose plant matter that falls to the ground and is rich in carbon.

Scientists are today trying to mesure carbon landscape trying to facilitate the maintenance of carbon in forest.

One of the project of the to stimulate an increase of C02 level@in the air to measure the impact on plants growing in a section of the Amazon.

O chão da floresta é muito escuro na floresta tropical, ao contrário da crença popular, o solo é pobre em nutrientes e carece de coisas como cálcio e magnésio, mas tem elementos que ajudam a decompor a matéria vegetal que cai no chão e é rica em carbono.

Os cientistas estão hoje a tentar criar uma paisagem de carbono, tentando facilitar a manutenção do carbono na floresta.

Um dos projetos da para estimular um aumento do nível de C02 no ar para medir o impacto nas plantas que crescem em uma seção da Amazônia.

The Amazon charitable Trust equipped, after the pandemic, the cooperative CoopXixuaú to reopen a community-based structure to receive visitors

On top of investments in the infrastructure (lodge, boats) we also equipped with new utensils the kitchen and refectory that has the capacity to receive about 20 people.

This allows member of the cooperative and especially women to earn income while staying in their communities.

Além de investimento na infraestrutura (lodge e barcos) a ACT equipou a cozinha e refeitório com novos utensílios com capacidade para circa vinte pessoas.

Esse apoio permite a membros da cooperativa especialmente as mulheres obter uma renda enquanto permanecem em suas comunidades.

✨ Chico Mendes lives ✨

Last Friday, in Rio Branco, Acre the statue erected in honor of activist was knocked down and vandalized. An act of violence against the memory of one of the protector of the Amazon.

Chico Mendes was murdered in 1988 for denouncing the neglect of environmental preservation in the Amazon and protect the rights of rubber tappers.

No to violence! No to impunity! Yes to democracy and people of the forest rights!

Na última sexta-feira derrubaram a estátua de Chico Mendes, em Rio Branco, no Acre. Não aceitaremos nenhuma violência à preservação da nossa memória e a memória dos protetores da floresta.

📣 Chico Mendes, Patrono Nacional do Meio Ambiente, assassinado em 88, segue vivo no espírito de luta de todos que defendem a floresta.

A estátua de Chico já foi reerguida. Mas muitos outros espaços e direitos dos Povos da Floresta estão ameaçados.
Vamos erguer estátuas de Chico, de Dorothy, de Ari Uru-Eu-Wau-Wau, de Bruno e Dom, de todos que perderam a vida pela violência contra ambientalistas no Brasil.

Não é apenas uma estátua, mas sim a luta dos povos da floresta!

E temos 88 dias para reerguer a democracia e escolher candidatos que defendam a floresta.
