The Philippine Embassy in London is now accepting applications for a part-time Project Term Personnel (PTP) to assist in the implementation of overseas voters (OV) registration for the 2028 National Elections.
The PTP shall have the following duties and responsibilities:
โข Assist with information dissemination and increase awareness of ongoing OV registration through promotional activities and events;
โข Assist OV registrants;
โข Prepare materials for OV registration;
โข Answer queries regarding OV registration;
โข Perform tasks as an alternate Votersโ Registration Machine (VRM) operator;
โข Remind registrants to vote and provide them with necessary information; and
โข Perform other tasks that may be required in the exigency of the service.
Please note that PTP contracts are for a 3-month period only with the possibility of extension. PTP will be expected to report at least forty (40) hours per week at the embassy located at 6-11 Suffolk Street, London SW1Y 4HG.

The Commission on Higher Education (CHED), in cooperation with the Philippine Embassy in London, met with various Filipino communities and organizations in the United Kingdom on 22 May 2026.
Dr. Shirley C. Agrupis, Chairperson of CHED, discussed the Commissionโs various programs and services, particularly the Project TAGUMPAY, Expanded Tertiary Education Equivalency and Accreditation Program (ETEEAP), CHED TANAW, and other student financial assistance opportunities offered by the Commission.

LONDON, 15 May 2026 - During the 111th Session of the Maritime Safety Committee (MSC 111) at the International Maritime Organization, Principal Assistant Moses Isaiah B. Palces of the Maritime and Ocean Affairs Office reaffirmed the Philippine commitment to strengthening international maritime safety, environmental protection, and responsible shipping practices.
The Philippines underscored the importance of effective, practical, and internationally consistent measures that enhance compliance with international maritime safety, liability, and environmental standards, while safeguarding critical maritime infrastructure and promoting accountability among flag States and ship operators.
The Philippines likewise highlighted its continued commitment to maintaining high standards for the accreditation and deployment of Filipino seafarers in support of safe, secure, and sustainable international shipping.
