Ofgem has closed its investigation into OVO Energy for its process failures that could have put vulnerable prepayment meter (PPM) customers at risk.
OVO has agreed a payment to Ofgem's Voluntary Redress Fund and credit or debt write-off to customers.

Boiler Upgrade Scheme (BUS) installers must now deduct the grant amount from the customer's upfront costs.
This will ensure that property owners receive the BUS discount upfront.
What installers need to do:
๐ Complete installer declaration
๐ Provide clear breakdown of pre-discount and post-discount costs in quotes
Property owners must verify the discount before allowing the installer to submit the application. Installers must not request or accept payment of the deducted grant amount to remain compliant with BUS requirements.
