Malapascua is a tiny island off the northern tip of Cebu that most people have never heard of ποΈ
And it contains one of the most extraordinary dive experiences on the planet. Every morning, before the rest of the island stirs, divers descend to Monad Shoal, a submerged plateau sitting around 25 metres below the surface where thresher sharks arrive to be cleaned by smaller fish.
Graceful, deep water creatures that are rarely seen at diveable depths anywhere else in the world, yet here they show up with a reliability that has made Malapascua quietly legendary among the global diving community.
Would you dive with thresher sharks? π

The Philippines has some of the most spectacular waterfalls in Southeast Asia, so here are a few to add to your radar ποΈ
From 87 cascades stacked across a single river system in Davao Oriental to a curtain of ice-cold water hidden inside the Ifugao rice terraces of Sagada, the variety and scale of what this archipelago is hiding is genuinely staggering.
Have you visited any of these, or do you know one that deserves to be on this list? π
Baguio City is a place nobody puts on their Philippines list, so we're trying to change that π΅π
Sitting 1,500 metres above sea level in the Cordillera mountains of northern Luzon, this city runs cool, misty and unhurried while the rest of the archipelago basks in tropical heat.
Pine-lined roads, a thriving arts scene and a food market that locals will tell you is one of the finest in the entire country, strawberries grown in the highlands, traditional ube jam, freshly ground coffee and vegetable varieties you simply won't find anywhere else.
Then there are the surrounding mountain villages where Igorot culture and craft have remained deeply alive for generations.
Would you ever visit Baguio? π

The best mango you will ever eat in your life grows here! π₯
The Philippines produces some of the most celebrated mangoes on earth and come May, the country is at peak harvest. Guimaras, a small island off the coast of Iloilo, is considered the mango capital of the Philippines its fruit so sweet, so smooth and so distinct that it has earned a geographical indication status, meaning a true Guimaras mango can only come from Guimaras.
Zambales on the other hand produces the carabao mango, the variety the Philippines is most famous for globally and the one that has been declared the sweetest mango in the world by the Guinness World Records.
Have you ever tried a Filipino mango? π

Most people write off the Philippines from June onwards and thatβs exactly why you shouldnβt π΅π
The idea that the entire archipelago disappears under rainfall for five months is one of the biggest misconceptions in Southeast Asian travel. Seven thousand islands donβt share one weather system and the travellers who know that are quietly having some of the best trips while everyone else waits for peak season to roll around again.
Lower prices, fuller waterfalls, electric green landscapes and surf season beginning in Siargao. The Philippines in the so-called off season is still full of adventure

This is the Pahiyas Festival π
Every May in Lucban, Quezon, the streets of this small Calabarzon town transform into something that has to be seen to be believed. Colourful kiping, wafer thin rice wafers shaped into leaves and pressed into every imaginable colour, cover entire house facades alongside fresh produce, vegetables and harvested crops, all arranged with a level of craft and pride that turns every home into a living work of art.
It started as a thanksgiving offering to San Isidro Labrador, the patron saint of farmers, and centuries later it remains one of the most joyful, generous celebrations in the entire Philippine calendar.
Have you ever experienced Pahiyas? π

The Philippines has an island that locals still whisper about π€«
Siquijor has carried a reputation for centuries that no other island in the archipelago quite matches. Long before it became a destination, it was known across the Visayas as a place of healers, folk magic and hilot practitioners who have passed their knowledge down through generations.
Travellers come expecting something eerie and leave having found one of the most breathtakingly beautiful, quietly spiritual places they've ever set foot on.
