We have a full house of stalls, with everything from face painting and homemade bakes to family favourites like hook-a-duck, lollipop tombola and splat the rat.

There will also be Himalayan Kitchen, beer from Southey Brewing Co, Pimms, Sangria, Prosecco and Nozeco, plus doggy treats, candles, jewellery and more.

The Friends of Cator Park and Alexandra Recreation Ground are a volunteer group supporting two valued public parks within the Penge and Cator ward. These open-access parks are available to the community 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, and are officially maintained by idverde on behalf of the London Borough of Bromley.

As a volunteer Friends Group, we work collaboratively with idverde to help maintain and enhance these parks as welcoming spaces that promote wellbeing, relaxation, recreation, and enjoyment for all members of the community. We are committed to encouraging healthy lifestyles and physical activity, while also supporting the natural environment through initiatives such as tree planting and biodiversity improvement.

The parks provide opportunities for a wide range of activities, including football, bowls, table tennis, dog walking, dog agility, community social events and informal recreation for people of all ages. Our aim is to ensure these spaces remain safe, clean, inclusive, and environmentally sustainable public areas where both people and wildlife can thrive.

Through our ongoing efforts, we seek to improve biodiversity, support human and animal welfare, and preserve these parks as refreshing and enjoyable green spaces for current and future generations.

Our summer events schedule include Pride, Music, Bats and Paws ๐Ÿพ in the park please join/ support us ๐Ÿ’š๐Ÿพ

If youโ€™d like to join us as a volunteer/ have commercial stall/ be part of the entertainment line up- just drop us a DM or email. [email protected]

When watering your tree, concentrate efforts under the canopy of the tree, as this is where most of the roots are likely to be. Ensure that you water evenly so that no matter where the roots are, they get some water. ๐ŸŒณ ๐Ÿ’ง
