Superbly well-connected

We’re in regular contact with senior officials in every relevant Government department and agency. Our public policy analyses have made us the natural choice for politicians to engage and consult with. Groups we’ve met, and will continue to meet, include:

The Prime Minister’s Taskforce on Innovation, Growth and Regulatory Reform

The Home Office’s THC consultation

The Government Chemist’s ring trial

We inform and unite

We don’t believe those working in the sector should be doing so in isolation, so we host lots of networking events and webinars featuring exceptional speakers & panelists.

In 2021 we hosted the inaugural UK Medicinal Cannabis Summit in partnership with and NIHR

Your representation in the corridors of power

Achieving modest shifts in policy, let alone the substantial changes we aspire to make, demands in-depth knowledge of both Westminster & Whitehall

Having access to decision-makers is equally important

We meet both criteria

Great to have long standing members GROW Group on board!

GROW Group is part of many different industry organisations and working groups- one of which being the CMC ( ) 🌱

The CMC was founded in 2018 with the aim of representing the industry's members. The organisation is home to a whole host of medical experts and political knowledge, and they are in regular contact with various parts of the UK government such as the PM's Taskforce on Innovation, Growth and Regulatory Reform, and The Home Office’s THC consultation.

We're proud to be working with the team, and collaborating with other industry members!

The Centre for Medicinal Cannabis (CMC) welcomes the Home Office's decision this week to request a review from the Advisory Council of the Misuse of Drugs (ACMD) on the current situation regarding schedule 1 drugs and the barriers to research. This includes synthetic cannabinoids and cannabis for research, when being developed for legitimate R&D purposes.
This case was made strongly in both recent reports produced by the CMC, Decalogue and The Hodges Review, where we outlined how the UK can become a world leader and global research hub for subsequent generations of cannabis based medicinal products.

The Centre for Medicinal Cannabis welcomes the positive legislative development to advance clinical understanding of medical cannabis in the United States. The new Medical Ma*****na Research Bill appointed by President Biden, will hopefully encourage the UK Government to consider the need for clinical trials and funding within Research and Development in Britain, and explore the impacts and huge potential of cannabis.

A huge congratulations to the teams from & for the success of their Patient Conference on Friday.

A brilliantly organised event that really focused on the needs of patients. The panels throughout the day were informative and well presented, and really gave patients a voice. 👏🏼 👏🏼

It was also great to catch up with lots of industry representatives who we haven’t seen in a long time!
