英国内PI(Principal Investigator)マップの公開
科学技術・イノベーションをめぐる国際的な競争が激しさを増す中で、我が国の科学技術力の基盤を強化していくことは、ますます重要になっています。 国内外で活躍し、日本との繋がりが深いPI（Principal Investigator：大学等における研究主宰者・責任者）は、日本にとって貴重な人的資産といえる存在です。
在英国日本国大使館では、こうしたPIとのネットワークを大切に育てていくとの考えから、英国内PIの情報をリスト化しました。この取組は、今後、英国での研究を考えている研究者や大学院生、英国での産学連携を望む産業界等の検討の一助になるとともに、英国においてPIとして活躍されている日本人研究者の活動を可視化し、ネットワーク形成を通じて関係者の交流機会の創出や国内の科学技術政策や外交にも還元していくことができると考えております。

Ms. Tezuka, a senior specialist from MEXT (Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology of Japan), and Mr. Akatsuka, a senior administrator from Kyushu University have visited JSPS London Office!
　Ms. Tezuka is now conducting research in Science and Technology course at University of Sussex. Mr. Akatsuka is also conducting research in Higher Education Studies course at University College London.
　We enjoyed a brief yet informative conversation with them about topics such as their research, science policies and academia in the UK and Japan☺.

【JSPS London Information Session at London South Bank University】

We were delighted to hold the JSPS London Information Session at London South Bank University (LSBU). The session on 29 January was successfully conducted in a hybrid format, with more than 30 researchers participating both in person and online.
We sincerely appreciate the engagement and interest from all attendees, as well as the support from the LSBU team. We hope the session provided useful insights into opportunities for research collaboration with Japan.
