By providing loans and business training to women living in poverty, whole families and communities can be transformed, one loan at a time.

Give £100 today, and through matched giving, you’ll help twice as many women provide more hopeful futures for their children.

A loan is just the beginning.

At MicroLoan Foundation, we provide more than capital, we provide skills, confidence and community.

Before receiving a loan, every woman completes seven training sessions, delivered through visual, practical methods like role-play, song and group learning, so no one is held back by low literacy.

From there, they receive ongoing mentoring and peer support through small groups, where women build their businesses together and lift each other up.

This is how lasting change happens.

When you donate, you’re investing in skills, support systems, and a community that helps women build sustainable futures.

The women we work with don’t lack determination or work ethic. They simply lack access and opportunity.

Rejoice is proof of what happens when that changes.

She opened a hardware store in Chiweshe, rural Zimbabwe. After one year, she joined MicroLoan Foundation so she could purchase more stock to grow her income.

Today, her profits have doubled, and she can better provide for her four-year-old daughter, building a more secure future for them both.

Your gift helps us offer loans, training and support to help lift more women out of poverty.

And don’t forget, all donations until 30 June will be matched, making your gift go twice as far!

Change starts with opportunity.

Dorothy’s chances in life were limited by intergenerational poverty. But when she joined MicroLoan Foundation, she had the opportunity to:
• Receive business training that matched her level of education
• Access finance for the first time
• Build a sustainable and resilient business
• Earn a profit and create savings
• Forge closer bonds with her community
• Improve her family’s food security
• Access healthcare when her children got sick
• Lift future generations of her family out of poverty

Across southern Africa, millions of women long for the same opportunities. Please help us reach them.

RIGHT NOW EVERY DONATION CREATES TWICE AS MANY OPPORTUNITIES, thanks to matched funding.

Progress out of poverty doesn’t happen overnight. But with the right support, change starts quickly.

At MicroLoan Foundation, we see it every day:
• 17% of women move out of extreme poverty within just one year
• 84% improve food security for their families

These are more than statistics. They’re mothers putting food on the table, children returning to school, and families beginning to build a more secure and hopeful future.

By supporting our work, you’re contributing towards the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, including No Poverty, Zero Hunger and Gender Equality.

Your support helps women start businesses, grow their income, and create better futures for their families.

Every gift brings us one step closer to a more equal, sustainable world.

Every mother wants the same thing: for her child to be safe, to be fed, to go to school, and to have a future full of opportunity.

But what if you had to choose between feeding your child today or sending them to school tomorrow?

For many of the women we work with across sub-Saharan Africa, this isn’t hypothetical, it’s a daily reality.

Right now, mothers are doing everything they can to give their children a better future. Yet 83% of our new clients are surviving on less than $2.50 (£1.85) a day, and over half on just $1.25 (93p).

Generations of inequality mean many of these women had to leave school early themselves. With low literacy and little access to finance in remote communities, opportunities are painfully scarce.

But when given the chance, everything changes.

Through small loans, practical training, and the strength of peer support, women begin to build sustainable businesses. They earn an income. They put food on the table. And they send their children to school.

Today we’re asking you to help a mother improve her child’s future by donating to MicroLoan Foundation.

And right now, thanks to matched giving, your donation will have DOUBLE THE IMPACT.

Dorothy left school with only a basic education. Growing up in poverty, her parents simply couldn’t afford to keep her there.

Years later, as a mother of five, Dorothy faced the same reality. She and her husband struggled to put food on the table and pay school fees. It felt like the cycle of poverty would continue into the next generation.

But Dorothy was determined to change that.

She joined MicroLoan Foundation, saying: “It was the only way for me to find the capital for my business.”

With a small loan and practical, accessible training, delivered through roleplay, song, dance and visual aids, Dorothy was able to build her business, despite having low literacy.

Today, her cabbage stall in a busy market in Mulanje, Malawi, is thriving.

Her children no longer go hungry. They are in school and continuing their education. Dorothy is investing in her business, saving for the future, and has even built a safe and secure home for her family.

“Now I feel good because I can do what needs to be done for my family,” she says.

Dorothy’s story is a powerful reminder that when women are given access to opportunity, they transform their families’ futures.

MATCHED GIVING IS NOW LIVE! This means that every £ you give will be DOUBLED.

Please help us break the cycle of generational poverty.

Right now, your donation will go twice as far.

Every gift to MicroLoan Foundation is being matched by a generous donor, doubling your impact for women working their way out of poverty.

We support women in rural communities across southern Africa, where access to finance is limited and opportunities are scarce. Through small loans, financial literacy training, and ongoing support, we help women build sustainable, profitable businesses.

And the impact goes far beyond just one woman.

Research shows that women reinvest their earnings into their families, putting food on the table, sending children to school, and improving health and wellbeing.

Even after just one loan cycle, families have increased food security.

As businesses grow, many women go on to create jobs, strengthening their wider communities.

Help build a fairer future for women, their families, and generations to come.
