The Gleaners is the pay-what-you-feel community cafe, run by a worker's co-op, based at The Hornbeam Centre.

We use surplus produce — quality ingredients that would otherwise go to waste — to make tasty, plant-based meals.

The Gleaner's community living room is launching next Thursday at The Hornbeam centre!

⏰11-3pm every Thursday from 7th November (excluding 26/12/24 and 02/01/25)

❤️Everyone welcome

🥘Free hot meal, hot drink

🎨Free creative activities and drop in services (see timetable attached)

🏠The Hornbeam centre, 458 Hoe street, London E17 9AH

Although the cafe may now be shut on Friday's and Saturday's, we will still be holding a warm friendly space every Thursday from next week until March, with hot food and drinks available.

The winter months can be tough for many reasons, and we hope that our community living room can be an opportunity to bring people together over some delicious, nutritious and free hot food.

We will also be hosting some lovely people from all over Waltham Forest to run free drop in services and creative activities. There is no pressure to get involved if you don't feel like it, but the offer is there if you would like to get your creative juices flowing and maybe start making some Christmas presents.

Everyone is welcome at our Community Living room, just walk in ❤️
