✨ Happy Volunteers’ Week ✨
This Volunteers’ Week, we want to say a heartfelt THANK YOU to every one of our volunteers.
Whether you’re preparing a meal, offering a haircut, welcoming someone through our doors, lending a listening ear, helping in the garden, or supporting the day-to-day running of our services, you make a real difference to the lives of the people we support.
We are deeply grateful for the time, kindness, skills, and compassion you bring.
Thank you for everything you do. We simply couldn’t achieve what we do without you.

With sincere appreciation,
Your BoB Team 💛

“A while ago, as our Chief Executive, I was asked to contribute the opening chapter to the book, Lived Experience Recovery Organisations.
Fourteen different LERO’s contributed to the book, and it is a fascinating read. This week, the authors met with Dame Carol Black, Dr Ed Day (the National Recovery Champion) and Dr David Patton, the driving force behind its collation and publication. Here we all are in the board room of the British Library, celebrating its induction into the British Library. How cool is that?
If you are interested in finding out about other LERO’s buy a copy for your bedside table. You can find the book on Amazon and the money will go to our charity!
It is well worth the read to see what lived experience can achieve in changing the wider treatment system.”

✨As 2025 comes to a close, we want to say thank you to our incredible staff, volunteers, service users and external partners.✨
This year has had its challenges, but also moments of connection, care, and real impact.
Because of the work happening every week in our spaces, thousands of people have felt a little less alone, a little more supported, and a little healthier.
Together, we’re doing our small part to make the world kinder. We’re proud of this community and grateful to everyone who makes it possible.

From our BoB family, we wish you all a kind and safe New Year!!!!

Here is our recap from last week! 💚

Our Harrow team organised a special trip for our service users to go behind the scenes at Wembley Stadium — an unforgettable experience for the football lovers among us!⚽️

In Newham, the team spent time gardening and refreshing the outdoor space, creating a relaxing spot for service users to enjoy a coffee break. They also hosted a friendly pool competition.🎱🪴

Team Tower Hamlets were inspired by plenty of creativity at work, while Team Hillingdon attended the local Remembrance event and laid a poppy wreath.💫

Team Hounslow celebrated Mary’s 75th birthday, and Team Greenwich produced some truly beautiful artwork. Our Sussex team got into the spirit of Halloween with fun costumes!🥳

Each hub treated service users to tasty, delicious food and, as always, welcomed local people for a friendly chat and a warm cuppa.

If you’re struggling with addiction — or know someone who is — please reach out. We’re here to help.

✨Designed by women, delivered by women, empowering women✨
Build on Belief have designed a project specifically to support women coping and recovering from a whole range of complex challenges.
Our peer led initiative will provide a safe, supportive, and empowering environment for women to start rebuilding their lives.

Our WWP is designed and delivered by women with lived experience. We believe that feeling understood, supported and championed by peers who may have experienced some of the challenges themselves can be really powerful.

The WWP is a 12-week programme with a weekly group session on Fridays in Central Worthing from 10-1. Offering a range of empowering sessions designed to support every aspect of wellbeing in a woman’s life, including living in recovery, dealing with the impact of homelessness and more practical sessions including employability and financial wellbeing.
We will also promote volunteering and peer led opportunities both on programme and after.

We are looking forward to meeting you!
