"I'm dying bro, I love you."

These were Darrian Williams' last words.

At just 16, he lost his life after being stabbed in a park in Bristol on Valentine's Day 2024.

His sister, Shanine Wright, has carried this moment ever since and turned her grief into a mission to make sure no other family hears those words.
We are determined to give every young person the chance Darrian never had and have made a commitment to halve knife crime within a decade.

This means backing young people before they reach crisis point, early intervention for those at risk, and putting more officers on the streets to end the cycle of repeat harm.

No young person should lose their life to knife crime.

AI technology will be rolled out at UK borders to prevent illegal migrants from falsely claiming to be under 18.

Currently, false age claims can be used to exploit the system and delay detention and removals, while diverting vital safeguarding support away from genuine asylum-seeking children.

In the year ending March 2026, over 6,400 migrants claiming to be children were age assessed at the border, with 43% found to be adults.

Strengthened checks will ensure adults who attempt to cheat the system and do not have a legitimate right to be in the UK are identified, detained and removed without delay.

Genuine children will be given the protection they need.
