Here are some moments from last year’s Stand With Us event for Learning Disability Week in Ealing – a powerful day of colour, community and campaigning, all about being seen and heard.

This year we’re doing it all again as we ask, “Do you see me?” – celebrating people with learning disabilities and their voices, challenging stigma and recognising the incredible contributions people with learning disabilities make to our community. 💬💜

We celebrated a special final day at our Leeland Road space 🏠💚

It's been Dare to Dream's home for the past ten years, it’s served us so well as our Creative Showroom Shop and we’re so grateful for all the memories made there ✨

We were lucky enough to be joined by Jean, a Dare to Dream staff member who was there on the very first day we opened Leeland Road 🙌

On to the next chapter now – and we’re excited for what’s to come 🚀

We’ll be getting our glam on again with a 1960s “Party like it’s 1965” theme, welcome drink, 3‑course dinner, wine, live music, and an auction – all to celebrate 60 years of Ealing Mencap and raise vital funds to support people with learning disabilities in our borough. 💛

We’re so proud to be continuing as one of their charity partners – and to have been chosen alongside two amazing charities, and 🌟

Our partnership has been vital over the last three years, and we’re excited to build on the brilliant work and relationships we’ve created together over the next three. This support helps us reach more people with learning disabilities in Ealing, with person‑centred support, opportunities to build skills, make friends, find work, and feel part of their community 💬🤝🌈

Learning Disability Week song announcement 🎵

We’re excited to announce that this year’s Stand With Us event for Learning Disability Week will feature a very special song: we’ll be coming together on the steps of Ealing Town Hall to sign and sing “This Is Me” from The Greatest Showman in Makaton!

Last year’s event filled the Town Hall steps with colour, smiles and powerful messages of “Do you see me?”. This year, we want our voices – and hands – to be even louder as we celebrate people with learning disabilities and their place at the heart of Ealing.

We’re excited to invite you to our Stand With Us event as part of Learning Disability Week in Ealing.

This year’s theme is “Do you see me?” – celebrating people with learning disabilities and their voices. We’ll be coming together to show our support, challenge stigma and celebrate the amazing contributions people with learning disabilities make to our community.

We’re hosting a FREE Spring Disco for young people aged 11–25 with additional needs and their friends – with music, dancing, mocktails and chill vibes all evening.
