However you mark it, I hope that it is a happy, joyful day spent with family, friends and neighbours.

Good Friday is a poignant day in Holy Week, a day to come together and give thanks, and to reflect on Christ's sacrifice and his teachings of compassion and forgiveness.

I wish all Christians in Barking & Dagenham a blessed, peaceful day.

Great to join the community-led celebration of 55 years Independence for Bangladesh today!

The opportunity to organise a celebration like this is open to all groups, and I look forward to joining a similar event for Autism Acceptance on Monday led by the Sycamore Trust.

Had a great morning at yesterday’s Barking & Dagenham Chamber of Commerce networking event hosted by Future Youth Zone. Thank you to the Chamber for inviting me to speak, and to all the brilliant local businesses who took the time to connect. It was great to hear your stories, your ambitions, and the work you're doing to drive growth in Barking and Dagenham.
