Sharna Pax presents: Every Day You Begin
The Raft at , London
Monday 27th June 2022, 7pm
In 2019, there was a major retrospective of Danish sculptor Sonja Ferlov Mancoba’s work at the in Copenhagen. This short film programme takes as its starting point a portrait film of the artist made by filmmaker Torben Glarbo in 1983.
Responding to the world around us across poetry, sculpture and music, the films focus on acts of creation and moments where life and art intertwine. With an emphasis on what it means to create and how an artist’s life is intimately linked to this process, the programme proposes possibilities of cohabitation and collaboration.
The Raft is a month-long exhibition and festival by artist and filmmaker Chiara Ambrosio at the Horse Hospital from 10th June-8th July 2022

Almost 5 years ago, we did an interview with Eva Marie Rødbro about her short film "I Touched Her Legs" (2010), the act of collaborating and love. The interview and screening of ITHL was part of our research for How to work together's Think Tank, which involved conversations with artists and filmmakers who work with collaboration.
The screening of Eva Marie's feature "I Love You I Miss You I Hope I See You Before I Die" following Betty, one of the main characters from ITHL, her family and their lives, was planned for tonight at CPH:DOX. While the festival takes a new format online, please treat yourself with a home cinema experience and support the survival of CPH:DOX while you're at it.
