Within a CA/Sortition system :

Imagine a central government Cabinet ; Except, that Cabinet doesn’t contain elected representatives who are constantly bribed via donation/funding/Lobbying/election/re-election. It contains :

• A factory worker
• An Accountant
• A single-mother
• A gay Vicar
• A Nurse
• A disabled man
• A Particle Physicist
• An Architect
• You & me!

All else remains. The mechanics & mechanisms of governance - Advisors, economists, scientists, psychologists & the systems/infrastructure to deliver.

Now imagine how relevant, humane, sustainable & empathic that Cabinets decision-making would be?

Imagine?! ☺️

• 2,000,000 of us, stood in & around Whitehall.
• Shoulder-to-shoulder, wave after wave.
• All with the same intention.
• All with the same voice.
• 1st wave is stood at the gates of Downing St.
• We demand entry, pushing forward non-violently, BUT relentlessly.
• 1st wave gets arrested, obviously.
• 2nd wave, same.
• 3rd wave, 4th wave, 5th wave, 6th wave, 7th wave, 8th wave, 9th wave - REPEAT, REPEAT, REPEAT.
• We outnumber them by millions & millions.

* (FACT) The MET is overwhelmed at 2,000 arrests in 24hrs.
*(FACT) UK Prisons are over capacity, meaning Police Station cells are already full, meaning the MET is even sooner overwhelmed.
* (FACT) The MET are in Special Measures/have very low public approval.
* (FACT) Home Office protocols state ; After 10 days of sustained unrest, the Home Office will enter talks/negotiations with the “unrest”.
* (FACT) The UK Army are unfit-for-purpose, as reported.

• We non-violently overwhelm Downing St.
• We oust - literally & totally, the Ruling/Capitalist Class from UK Power.
• We reform UK governance to a representative, participatory & sustainable model/Citizens Assemblies and Sortition.
• We address all our issues & problems.
• Those culpable stand Trial/go to prison, for genocide & embezzlement of public money.

This could not & would not happen in a CA/Sortition system - as the decision-makers (you & me) would not be compromised by “Israeli”, nor any other forms of interference

i.e Funding, donation & Lobbying

• Thinking & planning beyond the politics that have pushed us to this unsustainable end-state
• We cannot use the System to change the system
• Socio-political Revolution, then governance reform is our only remaining option
• Follow/Share/Be the change?

Voting ISNT enough.

Petitioning ISNT enough.

Protest ISNT enough.

Striking ISNT enough.

Boycotting ISNT enough.

Withholding payment/s ISNT enough.

We don’t want or need negotiations.

We want & need a democracy, not a Neoliberal Autocracy.

We want & need UK governance reformed - away from the perverted & utterly corrupt Partisan/Electoral system

This could not & would not happen within a CA/Sortition system.

Individuals cannot be influenced +\- corrupted within a CA/Sortition system.

All “political” time & energy would only be spent on decent governance.

The ideology behind Citizens Assemblies and Sortition :

1. Let’s not “reinvent the wheel”? Let’s use some of the structures & systems in place.

2. We replace every, current elected/corrupted(?) “Decision-maker” with a Citizens Assembly, created via Sortition. Each Assembly could/should hold 100 - 200 citizens.
— Mayors, Councillors, MP’s, Ministers, Cabinet Ministers & Prime Ministers are replaced by you & me.

3. Think Jury Service, but with a decent salary (currently : MP’s Basic = £83k + \- ), appropriate benefits & subsidies & your “DayJob” protected until you finish serving.
Anywhere between 6 - 12 months.
All TBC, by you.

4. The Assembly’s are anonymously populated, via Sortition - so are free from Lobbying/corruption/interference/spying/donation/funding/BRIBERY.

5. The Assembly membership “rolls”, so the Moral Fibre of the Assembly is maintained, extreme views are filtered out & ongoing debate & decision-making can be enabled. All TBC, by you.

i.e one in/one out.

6. All else remains. The mechanics & mechanisms of Governance. The scientists, the psychologists, the economists, AKA the Civil Service all remain - to facilitate our decision-making. All TBC, by you.

7. Those Assemblies are then free to debate, decide & vote on our way forward - WITHOUT the corrupt “noise” of Funders, Donors, Lobbyists, election & re-election.

Truly representative, participatory & direct democracy.

What are we waiting for?

It would be pretty dumb to call for Revolution, without having an alternative governance model, right?

Right.

So, lets propose Citizens Assemblies & Sortition for the UK.

Non-partisan.
Non-electoral.
Non-corruptible.
