It was great to attend our MP Mike Wood job fair, it was great to see such a good turn out.
I hope it helped lots of local people find new opportunities.

Why are people being asked to pay to meet their own MP?

We’re talking about elected representatives—people whose job is to serve their constituents—not host ticketed meet-and-greets.

Charging £5 for a “coffee morning” might be framed as covering costs, but let’s be honest: it creates a barrier. Not everyone can or should have to pay just to have a conversation with the person meant to represent them.

Access to your MP should be open, free, and equal—not something that feels like a paid event.

If this is about community engagement, then it should be accessible to everyone. No entry fee required.

Reform UK can afford to keep the triple lock because we will end the waste on benefits, foreign aid and illegal migrants.
